Trap Crafting Guide in Dinkum
Traps are a great way to get some Dinks in the game, as each Trap can earn you around 6000 Dinks in a day. This depends on the type of animals that you catch. First things first, you will need a Trapping Licence from Fletch, so get one if you haven’t already. It costs 500 Permit Points.

The next step is to collect the crafting materials required to make a trap. These are as follows:
- 1 Tin Bar
- 8 Mangrove Stick
- 1 Old Spring
You can make the tin bar by mining tin ore and inserting it into the furnace that you have crafted. Mangrove sticks can be cut down from mangrove trees. You can check out our guide on where to find them here: Where to Find Mangrove Sticks Locations in Dinkum
As for the Old Spring, you will need to dig it up from the ground. This will be easier to get with the help of a metal detector. Find out how to get and use one in this guide: How to Use Metal Detector in Dinkum
Once you have all the required materials, you need to get to the crafting table in Fletch’s tent.
You will be able to craft the Simple Animal Trap with the help of this guide. If you want to make more, just get more materials. You can make as many of these as you like. To learn more on how to use them, check out our dedicated guide: Dinkum: How to Trap Animals.
