As you progress through the chapter, eventually, you get a note telling you about a jewel stolen by a crow, and returning it back to the Merchant will complete the quest.
If you want to complete the Jewel Thief request, players need to go to the following location to complete the quest-
While making your path to the location, you’ll probably encounter a crow flying. He has the jewel inside its nest, and shooting down the nest will reveal the Scratched Emerald. If you have reached the Courtyard but haven’t yet found the Crow’s nest, check out the below image for help-
It will be found on the roof of a structure near the Merchant’s Room. To be more precise, it will be near the maze where Leon was attacked by Ashley earlier. Aim at the nest and shoot it down. Go inside the structure, and you’ll find the Scratched Emerald.
Once you pick up the Emerald, run toward the door in front. Open it, and you’ll find the Merchant inside it. Give him the Scratched Emerald, and your request will be done. It will reward you with 3 Spinel.
