If you have played role-playing games before, you are aware that challenging enemies are an integral part of these games, and they make the game exciting. So, Darkest Dungeon 2 doesn’t break the tradition, and this game also has a few powerful enemies to beat, and the Dreaming General boss is one of them. If you get stuck during the fight, this guide will help you know how to beat the boss.
Guide to Beat the Dreaming General Boss in Darkest Dungeon 2- How to Beat?
If you have been an RPG fan, you are probably aware of the world bosses. Every RPG features several challenging bosses, and beating them will open up the way to progress forward. Darkest Dungeon 2 has “lair bosses” who are terrifying and powerful to beat. The Dreaming General Boss is one of those lair bosses found in the game. Also, remember, it is the most challenging boss of Darkest Dungeon 2. So, prepare well before you go to beat it.
Before we progress to the fighting process, let’s look at the residence of the boss. The boss resides in the General’s Keep Lair, and before you encounter the boss, you have to take down two most powerful enemy waves- Lost Battalion. After you defeat these enemies, you will find the Dreaming General Boss. However, along with the boss, there will be an associate who is more dangerous than the boss- Tap Root. Initially, you may want to focus on beating the boss, but it is essential to beat the Tap Root first.
Tap Root has only one attack- Creeping Growth but this single attack is enough to wash out your entire team. During this attack, the enemy will throw its roots to random heroes, and if your heroes get two Tap Root tokens, their speed will be reduced. If your heroes get three tokens, they can’t use their skills anymore. So, you must take Tap Root more seriously than the boss. Use ranged attacks to hit it twice per turn. It is challenging to hit the Tap Root as it hides behind the boss, but you have to use ranged attacks to hit it.
The Dreaming General is not terrifying once the Tap Root is taken down. His Unsettling Whispers and The Walking Dead attacks are not as dangerous as Tap Root. Though he has a massive health bar, using Blight and Burn attacks will reduce the health bar faster. The boss inflicts Stress effect on the entire team, so be careful while fighting him.
That’s all you need to know about how to beat the Dreaming General boss in Darkest Dungeon 2.
