How Does Motion Sensor Work in Phasmophobia

Phasmophobia is one of the most popular ghost-investigation games worldwide, where players need to search for the ghost spawn location and identify its type using several equipment. Besides identifying the ghost, players need to complete some quests, which include detect a ghost presence using a Motion Sensor. If you are a new Phasmophobia player unaware of how to use a Motion Sensor, this guide will help you with it.

What is a Motion Sensor, and How Does It Work in Phasmophobia?

Phasmophobia is one of the best horror games that differs from other horror games as this game requires players to find the ghost-type and complete the objectives to get money. Every Phasmophobia game gives players three quests, and completing them will give players lots of money. The Motion Sensor is the part of quests that players need to detect ghost motion.

If you have been playing the game, you have probably seen a quest that requires you to detect ghost motion using a Motion Sensor, and to complete this task, players need to have a Motion Sensor. It is a purchasable equipment that players can get for $100 from the in-game shop. But you have to purchase it before you start a game because when you appear in the van, you can’t purchase anything. Therefore, it is always better to have a Motion Sensor with you, so if you get a quest related to it, you can do it.

Once you find the ghost room or the area where the ghost spawns, place the Motion Sensor on any wall, and as the ghost roams around and passes through the motion sensor, you can detect the motion of the ghost in the sensor. The motion sensor monitor is in the van, so if you want to check whether the motion sensor is working or not, you have to go to the van and check it.

Generally, if you place the motion sensor in a wall of the ghost room, it detects the ghost’s movement, and your quest automatically gets done, but if you see it is detecting the motion, but still the quest is not done, means it is detecting the motion of your dead teammates. Once your teammates are dead, they also become ghosts, and the motion sensor will detect their motions too.

That’s all you need to know about how to use a motion sensor in Phasmophobia. All the ghosts can be tracked by a motion sensor, and it helps players know the route of the ghost.
