Bee creatures in Grounded 2 are friendly flying creatures that roam the air in search of nectar. Though not hostile in and of themselves, they are deadly should they become enraged. Removing them is however worth the hassle—especially for as valuable a material as Bee Fuzz, which is used in the weapon and armor creation process. Since Bees are random and airborne, they can be difficult to find and farm.
This tutorial will walk you through the best Bee spawn locations in Grounded 2, farming them, and all the loot that can be received by killing them.
Where to Spawn Bees in Grounded 2
Bees typically fly between flowers and colored leaves. Although their exact location differs, they will stop by many of the usual spots near Brookhollow Park.
Major Locations to Check
Ceremony Area – North Rock Outcropping
Bees can be found clustered on the surface of a large boulder at the north edge of the Ceremony area. To get to it, proceed toward arched stone walls along the Statue landmark. They will be flying or resting on or near the flowers on top of the boulder.
Picnic Table – Side Rails and Fabric Edges
The Picnic Table edge is also a Bee hotbed. You will see them sitting on the tablecloth edge or hovering around the food containers. They dart about so frantically you will have to do some reconnaissance to catch one.
Snackbar Area
Bee flying out by Snackbar will happen at times, though. This is not as consistent of a spot, but one that is still worth watching for on sweeps.
Bee will remain near flower clusters and only fly down when resting, so it is best to attack from clearings or high ground.
How to Farm Bees Effectively
Bees are neutral and will only counterattack if attacked. They’re very mobile and decent in health, so they’re a moderately hard enemy to fight. It’s a good idea to be aware of their weaknesses and resistances prior to combat:
- Weaknesses: Sour damage and Slashing weapons
- Resistances: Smashing damage
To make them vulnerable to farming, do experiment to see when they sleep. Bees sleep at night, so that’s a good time for sneaky attacks when they are on the ground. Try to leave them alone when they are flying unless you’re willing to commit to ranged combat.
Also keep in mind that Bees do have a three in-game day spawn timer, so it is okay to cycle spawn points when farming.
Bee Drops: What You Can Harvest
Slaying a Bee in Grounded 2 can net you some useful materials:
- Bee Fuzz: Armor and some weapon crafting material
- Bee Stinger: Used in melee weapon recipes
- Pollen: Specialty recipe ingredient
These materials are crucial to making more durable gear, whether you want to upgrade your existing gear or make spare gear for more durable bugs deeper in the park.
