Grigoire is one of the Ladder Endgame Bosses in Diablo 4. Not only can he drop some of the game’s most powerful Unique items, but you can also take him on in the new Torment difficulties. In this article, we’ll explain how to Locate and where to summon Grigoire, along with a complete list of the items you can get from him in the Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred expansion.
Location of Grigoire in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred
You can find Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint, in the Hall of the Penitent dungeon located in the Dindai Flats area of the Dry Steppes. It’s just south of the Ked Bardu waypoint, so getting there should be quick. Once you enter the Hall of the Penitent, you’ll need to fight through a few groups of monsters before you reach the summoning altar in the boss arena.
To summon Grigoire, you’ll need Living Steel, which you can collect during Helltide open-world events. You can get Living Steel from various Tortured Offering chests, but the best source is the Tortured Gift of Living Steel chest, which gives you the largest amount.
Helltides occur every hour and last for 55 minutes, followed by a 5-minute reset period for your Cinders. To open the various chests in Helltide events, you’ll need to spend a certain amount of Cinders, with the Living Steel chest costing 250. You can also find Living Steel as drops from Elite enemies and in some endgame activities from the Vessel of Hatred expansion, like the Undercity of Kurast, or by bartering at the Mercenary Den. However, the best way to farm Exquisite Blood is still through Helltides.
Summon Grigoire in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred
You can only find and summon Grigoire while playing on the new Torment difficulties introduced in the Vessel of Hatred expansion. To summon him, you need to reach level 60 and complete a Tier 20 run of the Pit. The higher the Torment difficulty, the tougher the fight will be, Grigoire will have more health and deal more damage, while your character will face penalties to armor and resistances. However, taking him down on these higher difficulties comes with greater rewards, including more Unique items and a better chance of finding Mythics.
To summon Grigoire on any of the four Torment difficulties, you’ll need 12 Living Steel. Remember, you can use the new party finder to create or join groups of players. This way, you can share materials in a rotation, making the process much more efficient and rewarding.
