How did Batman die?
A battle in the Batcave in Gotham Knights leads to Batman’s death when both Batman and Ra’s Al Ghul are wiped out by detonating the Batcave. However, he is later resurrected by the League of Shadows only to die once more; this time sacrificing himself to destroy the League’s Lazarus Pit and foil their plans.
Batman’s death in Gotham Knights is a result of his own doing. He sets off the self-destruct system in the Batcave, which destroys everything in its path – including himself. His body is found by the Gotham Knights squad later on, under one of the many Batcave ruins.
Talia al Ghul, however, brings Bruce Wayne back to life later in the game. She reveals her master plan in which Bruce Wayne’s body will be dipped into the Lazarus Pit, which will cause his body to turn to the dark side, which will allow Gotham to be conquered. Batman’s fearsome enemy’s sinister daughter Talia does all of this while he is unconscious and unable to stop her.
