Gotham Knights is closing to launch and we’ve been seeing trailers and glimpses into the game for a while now. For the unaware, the game does not have Batman and the image of Robin we all had growing up has been completely reimagined. Robin in the game looks more tough and brutal, in contrast to the boyish Robin we have seen before. The game will allow you to play as one of several characters. You can choose to play as Robin, Red Hood, Batgirl, or Nightwing.
WB Games Montréal took to Twitter to announce that the title has gone “Gold,” meaning, it has passed the development and testing phase and has gone into the production of physical versions of the game. Now, the dev team will focus their attention on polishing the game further and preparing for the day-one patch.
The reaction to the news on Twitter was mixed with the user’s already guessing the review score of the game and some calling it not a Batman game.
Gotham Knights will feature a completely new story with an open world that can be explored solo or in a co-op team. The open-world bit has me excited. The game comes out in Oct 2022. Let us know your thoughts on the game in the comments section.
