Genshin Impact recently conducted Version 3.0 Special Program Livestream and it confirmed the upcoming patches to be shortened until they get back on track to their original roadmap. The following are the release dates of Version 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3.
Version 3.0 is scheduled to drop on the 24th of August which means players will only have a solid one week to catch up on their missed content in Version 2.8. Players can expect to get the Update download files early around the 22nd of August too. This update will last a total of 34 days but the devs have said this won’t reduce the gameplay content.
In fact, all the following updates till 3.3 will have 34-35 days duration which is reduced from the usual 42 days or 6 weeks that Genshin Impact updates usually follow. Version 3.1 drops on the 28th of September, 3.2 on the 2nd of November, and finally Version 3.3 will drop on the 7th of December. Since the following updates after 3.3 haven’t been released, we can expect them to follow the usual duration of 42 days.
As a result of the reduced update durations, we will also have minor changes to the Battle Pass in the upcoming versions. It’s been confirmed they will now require 900 BP EXP to max out instead of the usual 1000. Players can thus complete their BP meter comfortably without rushing and thus obtain all the rewards.
The reduced duration of the updates is of course because of the 3-week delay in the release of Update 2.8. Therefore Genshin Impact will reduce the following 3 updates by 3 weeks to make up for that lost time and get back on their set timeline and release roadmap.
