Healing is a niche function in Genshin Impact in the sense that while it is still necessary, people rarely use dedicated healers in their usual runs of the game. Genshin Impact still has dedicated healers and other characters who can do more than just heal.
Healers Tier List in Genshin Impact
In this Tier List, we’re going to rank the healing abilities of the several Genshin Impact characters while also considering their other roles and functions which they can fulfill.
S-Tier
S stands for Supreme and Super good and this is what we believe for the following characters. Both of these characters are dedicated healers and are capable of damage. While Kokomi is the obviously better option due to her damage being considered great without too much of an investment, Qiqi doesn’t fall short either due to her kit allowing you to switch characters and attacking opponents to heal.
- Kokomi
- Qiqi
Both of these characters make your team virtually unkillable as you always have heals on command. These are currently the best units to use against opponents who can inflict Corrosion which is a health-depleting debuff that isn’t blocked by shields.
A-Tier
A stands for Awesome units and the following characters are more used by the Genshin player base due to their versatile roles. These aren’t dedicated healers but they give enough heals to keep your party alive on normal runs and fights.
- Bennett
- Jean
- Diona
- Sayu
All of the above characters except Diona can be used as damage supports for your DPS and or even as a sub-DPS when your main DPS is on cooldown. Diona on the other hand fills the role of both a shielder and a healer.
B-Tier
B stands for Bearable or Basic. These characters are reliable healers in the early game but fall short in their performance in the late game. They either have flawed kits or long cooldowns which make them generally unusable or difficult to use in the Spiral Abyss and the more difficult domains and battle events. They are still reliable options if you don’t have any of the characters from the above tiers but once you do get them, these must be replaced.
- Noelle
- Barbara
Noelle is a great shielder but to get her heals you have to stay on her character and attack opponents to heal- and even that isn’t a lot of reliable healing. Barbara, despite being a dedicated healer, affects your character with Hydro which can be problematic in enemy fights and especially in the Spiral Abyss.
C-Tier
C stands for Copium if anyone ever told you these are good healers.
- Xinqiu
- Kuki Shinobu
Xinqiu is easily an S-tier character but as a healer, he must not be trusted. His healing is negligible. Kuki needs to lose HP to heal her party members which is just a weird and undesirable mechanic. She’s also one of the worst characters released by Genshin Impact in recent history.
Healers overall are still not compulsory units in every party like shielders are but with the release of Dendro and the newer upcoming enemies, we can hope Healers will finally become more relevant in the game. The Corrosion status is currently the only debuff that needs healers to resist or counter but we can expect more of such debuffs in the future from future enemies.
