Warzone players are all too familiar with dev errors and there’s an entire list of them that occur due to various reasons from connection problems, overlay issues, and graphics problems to others. The Call of Duty: Warzone Dev Error 5476 is the recent addition to the list of errors and has been popping up for many players. While the error did not occur after the launch of the Caldera map, it emerged in the past few days.

The error is not tied to any particular game mode which points to a bigger problem and started after the recent and the first Vanguard integration update. It has again resurfaced after the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update. The error boots players to the main loading screen and does not allow them to progress into the game. Fortunately, the gaming community has become accustomed to the errors and is quite tactful at finding solutions on their end. Here are all the solutions you can try to resolve Dev Error 5476.

Fix Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded Dev Error 5476 on PS4, PS5, and Xbox

From reports, the dev error 5476 can occur randomly across PS5, PS4, and Xbox One. It can occur with any of the running titles – Modern Warfare, Warzone Pacific, Vanguard, and Black Ops Cold War. As for the solutions, it’s simpler than you would imagine. If you have set the Calling Card, Skins & Emblems to Random, the error seems to occur. As such, go to the game’s settings and deselect the random selection of the above settings and the error should go away.

As for the cause of the error, it’s definitely a bug with the game that the developers need to fix on their end. Although a strange solution, it seems the catalyst of the error code is when the player has set the Calling Card and Emblem to random. Choose the static or any other option and the dev error 5476 will disappear for good. The same solutions works for users on all platform. So, regardless of the device you are using to play the game, go to the settings and apply the solution. It will work and you will again be able to enjoy the game.

On rare occasions, you may also see the error code when there is a problem with the server. If the Warzone servers are down, you can encounter the dev error 5476. Under such a situation, there isn’t much you can do other than wait for the developers to resolve the issue on their end. Usually, server problems don’t take more than a few hours to resolve, so you won’t have to stay away from the game for long. Simply try to play after a few hours and it will work fine.

If the above solutions did not work, disabling Crossplay may also fix the error in some cases. If there is an issue with the game files that can also lead to the error, so try running the Scan and Repair.

The Warzone dev error 5476 occurs when the version of your game on the client has a problem communicating with the game servers. For some reason, selecting Random for Calling Card and Emblem seems to arise in such a situation. The developers can provide a permanent solution to the problem. You can expect the error to be patched by the developers in an upcoming patch. That brings this post to a close. To recap, if you have encountered the dev error 5476, try changing setting the option for Calling Card and Emblem to anything other than Random. If it’s a server problem that causes the issue, wait for a few hours and the issue should resolve on its own.

Fix Dev Error 5476 on PlayStation

There is another potential fix that might work solely for PlayStation consoles. You will have to take two different controllers for this fix to work. Take your first controller and connect it to a different account that does not have the glitch. You should keep in mind that this account should be at level 4 to get the option to change load-outs. Once you have connected your first controller to a different account, enter the Warzone lobby. Next, connect your second controller to your main account and enter Warzone. Enable split-screen mode and change your second account to be the party leader.

Once you have all that down, head back to your main account’s inventory and change all the blueprints under your load-outs to enable the base gun. You should also change emblems, gestures, and calling cards back to basic. If you want, you can also disable the Tempered option to see if it helps. Reload Warzone in your main account and close the second account to see if the error is gone.
