Fix Assassin's Creed Valhalla 'A Wise Friend' Quest Bug

The state of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was far from satisfactory, until the release of the Yule Festival update, after which things seem to have been mussed up further. But, the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla ‘A Wise Friend’ quest bug has existed even before the release of the DLC and we have some solutions you can try to fix the bug. You will have access to the quest when Ravensthorpe is at Level 3. In the quest, you have to help Valka with the crates, but Valka stops mid-way locking the quest at that point. If the scenario matches the bug you’ve encountered, we have a workaround.

Fix Assassin’s Creed Valhalla ‘A Wise Friend’ Quest Bug

If you are already past this point and are further into the game, then, there is no point returning, but in your second run or players who are just starting out, “A Wise Friend” quest unlocks after the settlement reaches Level 3. As you start the quest, you will head to the docks, where you find Valka and talk to her. After the chat, you will help her with some crates and follow her to the settlement. The quest will be complete once you deliver the crates into Valka’s house/tent.

However, mid-way Valka will stop in front of the blacksmith and not nudge. As she does not move and you cannot deliver the crates, the mission is stuck and you cannot progress.

The fix for the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla ‘A Wise Friend’ quest bug is to compete any active missions you might have at Ravensthorpe. Randvi is supposed to be there to talk to Valka, but if you have not completed the Randvi’s quest and gone straight to Valka the bug can surface. So, complete the other quests firsts and you should be able to finish “A Wise Friend” as well.

That’s all we have in this guide, we hope that your issue is resolved. We have several other guides on the various glitches of the game, so make sure to bookmark the page or category for future reference. If we missed out something or if you have a better solution, let us know in the comments.
