Remnant: From the Ashes is a great game, but like all multiplayer games it has its own set of errors that are caused either due to server issues or a problem on the client end. You can find the specific problem and their solutions by scrolling down.
Remnant: From the Ashes No Sessions
If you get the message with “No session to join” or something similar when you click on the Join Public Game, it simply means there are no games for you to join at the moment. There is no fix for this problem other than waiting for some time and hopefully, the next time you try there are games that you can join.
Remnant: From the Ashes Host Is Not On A Secure Connection
The Remnant: From the Ashes host is not on a secure connection error message has been popping up randomly for players preventing them from playing the game. There are several reasons why this error might be occurring. One of the causes is a fault with the game or the server that’s causing the error. In that case, there is nothing you can do other than waiting for the developers to fix the problem on their end.
On the flip side, the error can also occur due to bad cache, try hard-resetting the console to clear the cache. If that does not work and this is the first time you are playing the game, it’s possible the problem could be NAT related. For multiplayer and co-op games, it recommended that you have an Open NAT. You can find guide on our website or any other website on how to change the NAT.
The NAT problem can also occur in rare cases when the router has a problem. This can impact players who have been playing the game for a while. We suggest, before you consider any advanced troubleshooting, simply restart or power-cycle the router or modem.
If none of the above solutions have resolved the issue, we suggest you check website such as Downdetector to check if others are having the same problem. If they are, then, it’s a problem with the game and not you.
Remnant: From the Ashes Unable To Create New Session
If you have encountered this error message, it simply means that the servers are busy due to which you cannot create a new session. The servers are in full capacity as to the number of sessions that can be created. The Remnant: From the Ashes unable to create new session error message usually appears after a recent DLC or some other promotion that has a large number of players suddenly rushing to the game. As the hype around the game dies, you should be able to create new sessions.
So, to fix the problem there are a few things you can do, either keep spamming the game and maybe your session will be created or wait for a few hours or maybe a day or two.
The offline version of the game should still work without any errors, so you can try that until you are able to create a session.
Remnant: From the Ashes Session Connection Lost
For some reason, the connection to the session was lost, usually happens when you are playing the game using mobile internet or your connection is instable. To resolve the Remnant: From the Ashes session connection lost error, simply attempt to establish the connection to the session again. However, players also claim that when everything is fine with their connection, they are still randomly kicked out of the session. We are investigating this issue. If it occurs for you, comment and let us know for us to update the post.
Remnant: From the Ashes Network Connection Lost
Similar to the above error, the Remnant: From the Ashes Network Connection Lost also kicks the player to the main menu and the connection of the user is not the problem. We are also investigating this issue and will update the post when we know more. If you encounter the error, comment and let us know.
Remnant: From the Ashes Can’t Join Friends or No Friend Session
If you are having difficulty joining a friend’s session and if you are on Epic. The solution to the problem is to make the session global and ask the host to invite you. Remember, you and the host both have to be friends on Epic for the invite to work. So, the fix for Remnant: From the Ashes can’t join friends or no friend session is to be friend with the host on Epic and ask the host to send you an invite.
That’s all we have in this guide, we will update this post when we know of more errors or additional solutions.
Has any of this been recently fixed?
There was a patch a few months back. But, we didn’t see any mention of this. Please read the patch notes.
About a month ago i was able to connect with my wife no problem, i stopped playing it since. Now that my friends finally got the game i decided to hop back on it. Only to find I can’t join nor can they join me! Im able to find their game but when i click to join the screen just does a quick second load and then keeps me in main menu. Please fix this! I really enjoy this game and would enjoy it even more with the boys.
This game is a Co op game and the co op function use to work properly before and for some reason it doesn’t work at all now??????????? My bf and his friends have tried joining each other’s game sessions and it doesn’t work, there’s no update on this game to fix that issue and it’s honestly so frustrating because what the hell did they do to the game for it to not work properly anymore? It’s a really fun game or at least it used too be but now that the co op function doesn’t work there’s no reason to play it. Sad but whatever they better fix it soon.
It seems to be a problem on the server end. The issue is so widespread. Hope the devs fix it soon.
I’m having the same issue right now. There’s 3 of us on here and no one can figure it out. Game has just taken the biggest shit after the update.
I’m on XBOX ONE and I just redownloaded it tonight. I’m trying to join my friend’s game, I can see his session, I receive his invitation, but Nothing happens when I click on his session or accept his invitation. Literally f*****g nothing happens, and I’m really about to lose my sh!t. I can’t even create a session properly when I try.
did you find a way to fix this i have the same problem

Hey so my name is Tyler, Xbox love gamer tag Tyleronthedaily and I’ve tried everything suggested but still chronically run into issues of losing server connection. Is there anything else to be done about this?
