Wisdom Rods are incredibly rare and can only be made in a special workshop called the Ancient Archives. This workshop has a unique Anvil that allows you to create extraordinary fishing rods, but you’ll need to pay and gather some unusual materials. Before you can even think about crafting a Wisdom Rod, you have to unlock the Ancient Archives.
To do that, you need to find four special pieces called Fragments. Once you’ve found them, you can use them to open the doors to the cave hidden beneath the Ancient Isle. Only then can you start gathering the materials you need to create the rod.
To make a Wisdom Rod in Fisch, you’ll have to find specific resources and meet certain requirements:
- Ruby
- Two Mythical Driftwood
- Magic Thread
- 50,000 C$
- Level 40 or higher
Rubies are a type of gemstone in Fisch, and the only way to obtain them is by waiting for a Meteor to strike. These Meteors occasionally fall on the Ancient Isle, leaving behind a random gemstone. If you’re impatient, you can buy a special item called a Meteor Totem for 75,000 Coins. Using this totem will force a Meteor to strike, allowing you to try and get a Ruby.
Finding Driftwood is pretty simple, as it’s basically just trash that you can find almost anywhere. However, to make a Wisdom Rod, you need a special type of Driftwood with a specific mutation.
You have two ways to get this mutated Driftwood:
- Examine regular Driftwood: Keep checking regular pieces of Driftwood until you find one with the right mutation.
- Fish during the Mutation Surge: Use “Garbage” bait when the special “Mutation Surge” event is happening. This increases your chances of catching mutated Driftwood.
Magic Thread is another material you’ll need, and luckily, it’s easy to find! While fishing, you might occasionally catch a fish along with some Magic Thread. It’s a bit like finding treasure – you never know when it will show up.
Once you’ve gathered all the necessary materials (Ruby, mutated Driftwood, and Magic Thread), head back to the Anvil in the Ancient Archives. There, you can finally craft the powerful Wisdom Rod. Keep in mind that the recipe for the Wisdom Rod will only appear on the Anvil if your fishing skills are at a high enough level.
