There is a timer in the game where you can check how long you got till the sun goes down. With the sunset, you will also meet new enemies and gain more stealth. If your character build depends on stealth, then this is the best time to utilize your ability. Hiding under the darkness of night can help you take out enemies quickly, as visibility is reduced. It becomes easier to go back and tackle enemies you would otherwise have found hard to beat. But along with nightfall, you will also see an increase in enemy activity in certain locations. It is currently unknown which locations have the most activity, as this will be added at a later time. You will also meet stronger versions of certain enemies at night who would show up during the day as well.
You will also find new enemies to beat at night. The Giant Bats and the Black Knight on Horseback are the two known enemies that only come out when night falls. The difficulty in beating them and their locations is currently unknown.
