In the southwest of Hernand is an area referred to as the Sanctum of Absolution, a place that is completely covered in fog (but it does appear on the map). To complete the Sanctum of Absolution puzzle you must first defeat the Antumbra’s Sword mini-boss in order to retrieve the Core of Absolution that lies within the sanctum, and then you can place the pieces of the puzzle at their corresponding location to complete it as efficiently as possible.
Locating the Sanctum of Absolution
Located at the bottom-left corner of the map in Hernand is The Sanctum of Absolution. In this region of the map, you will see a small red areacovered with fog. To locate this area, find the Abyss Nexus next to it to quickly access the area. In the Sanctum of Absolution, you will need to clear the area by defeating a mini-boss, called Antumbra’s Sword. You will then be able to collect the Core of Absolution from the Sanctum of Absolution. This Core will assist you in solving the Sanctum of Absolution puzzle.
Solving the Puzzle
You can begin the puzzle at the southern end of the structure, as long as you are careful not to fall into the flamethrower trap below when the floor drops out beneath you. The objective of this puzzle is to return all of the floating pieces to their proper locations/positions.
The first floating piece that you will find is located to the north inside of the structure. Using the axiom, you can pull the first floating piece out of the structure and place it on the back left pillar. If you have a Kuku pot, you can use it to store the first floating piece for easier storage until you can summon it to the proper spot later on. When the piece has been placed in the correct position, leaves will appear, confirming that it is in the correct position. You’ll have to then climb up to the top of the pillar, and lock the piece in place using force punch.
Placing the Second Piece
The second piece is in the northern section of the building as well and must be approached by entering from the front. Inside you will need to break pots/jars to reveal a floating piece (cube). Grab the cube, or store it in a Kuku pot for convenience. Place it back into the fusion reactor core hole and line it up until leaves appear. A final force push will secure it in place, completing the puzzle. Once both pieces are positioned correctly, the Sanctum puzzle is solved, and you can continue your exploration.
