Console players have been waiting for game developers to respond to one of the most frequently asked questions: when will console players get FOV Slider in Warzone?
The FOV (Field of View) Slider has been integrated for the PC, but there is still no word from the developers if they will make the update for the console.
Since the release of Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific, players have been posting about it on various social media platforms. Console players are finding it hard to be on equal footing with PC gamers. While console players are capped at 80 degrees FOV, PC gamers have a higher advantage, at around 120 FOV. This has caused an outcry in the gaming community. Now that Vanguard is out as well, players have been waiting patiently for word of any update.
It has been hinted by the developers that the reason the FOV slider was not available on the console is because of the Infinity Ward engine. All the games’ operations have been taking place on it, and, according to the developers, was impossible to bring it to consoles. But players shouldn’t lose hope, because things had changed after the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which brought the FOV Slider for the console.
Also, the Creative Director of Warzone, Ted Timmins, has recently revealed that the devs are aware of the problem console players face, and posted this tweet in reply to a fan:
There is still no current information in the patch update about the implementation of the FOV in the coming updates, but rest assured that console players can expect some good news soon.
