In the game Black Myth: Wukong, some enemies are the only source for certain rare materials. These materials are often hard to find, so players might have to fight the same enemy many times to get them. There’s no way to avoid this, but players can find special gear that helps them find items faster. This can make it easier to get the materials they need.

There are many items hidden in Black Myth: Wukong. Look for two special items: the Skull of Turtle Treasure helmet and the Golden Carp curio. These are the items that will make materials easily obtainable from the enemies or even minibosses. Easy to miss though, so be careful not to overlook them.

This guide will show you where to find the Golden Carp and Skull of Turtle Treasure in the game.

How to get Golden Carp

The Golden Carp is a special item in Black Myth: Wukong which brings more loot when you defeat enemies. It’s really useful, but it’s hard to get. To get it, you have to beat Yellow Loong, the last of the Dragon Brothers.

Yellow Loong is a really tough optional boss, and you can only fight him after you beat his three brothers. Each brother shows up in a different part of the game. Here’s where to find them all.

Red Loong is a boss you don’t have to fight, but you can if you want. You’ll find him in Chapter 1. To get to him, go to the Outside the Forest shrine in the Forest of Wolves. Use the Loong Scales to move the waterfall that’s blocking the way to his fighting area.

Black Loong is another optional boss in Chapter 2. You’ll need the Loong Scales again to find and remove a waterfall. Go to Fright Cliffs – Rockrest Flat Shrine, and look for a waterfall made of sand that’s blocking the way to Black Loong’s arena.

Cyan Loong is a boss you can find in Chapter 3. He’s sitting on a ledge on Turtle Island in the Bitter Lake area. After you fight Kang-Jin Star, you’ll find him on the right side of Turtle Island. Cyan Loong is really tough in Chapter 3, so you might want to come back and fight him later.

Yellow Loong, the last brother, is in Chapter 4. Go to the Buddha’s Right Hand boss in the Webbed Hollow area. You’ll find this boss’s fighting area near the Cliff of Oblivion Shrine. After you beat the boss, walk across its body and take the left path. Cross the rope bridge and go past the spider cocoon enemies. You’ll reach a cliff ledge where Yellow Loong is waiting. Beating Yellow Loong won’t be easy, but if you can do it, you’ll get the Golden Carp.

How to get Skull of Turtle Treasure

The Skull of Turtle Treasure is a special helmet that has double the chances of you finding more materials when you defeat an enemy. You can get this helmet for the first time in Chapter 3 once you have reached the Longevity Road in Valley of Ecstasy. Go to the Keeper’s Shrine and head towards the statues. Turn left until you see a wooden Tori gate. Proceed past it, and as you move closer to another Tori gate, you’ll see on the right-side a Turtle Treasure enemy.

Try to beat this enemy to see if he drops the helmet. If he doesn’t, you can use the Incense Trail Talisman to go back to the Shrine and try again.
