V Rising Best Weapons
V Rising has 7 different weapon categories, six of which are melee and one of which is ranged. Each weapon type has a basic attack and 2 skills that are specific to that weapon class.
All weapon categories within a “tier” (for example, bone weapons or bronze weapons) provide the same fundamental increase in physical power. This implies that any of the weapons can be used in any combat. However, because of the attack speeds, combinations, and talents provided by the various weapon kinds, certain weapons are slightly more effective than others.
Here is our ranking of the top V Rising weapons:
- Sword
- Spear
- Axes
- Reaper
- Mace
- Slasher
- Crossbow
- Sword ranks first due to its greater damage-per-second and strong Shockwave strike, which may be used to avoid opponent assaults.
- The Spear lacks such a mobility feature, yet it is unrivalled in exploding single targets.
- The Axes, Mace, and Reaper are all comparable attacks that provide decent damage to each hit but lack the potency of the faster-acting weapons.
- The Slasher is a fun weapon to play because of its Camouflage skill, but its damage potential just cannot compete with the other melee weapons.
- The Crossbow, which is plainly good for remaining at the range, but otherwise has two very weak attributes that don’t offer it the best chance of matching the strength of the other weapon types, comes in last.
Abilities of the Weapons
Sword
The Sword is an excellent all-arounder, and its fast attack speed makes it perfect for setups that emphasise critical blows. The Whirlwind talent is a little underwhelming, but Shockwave is a fantastic mobility skill that may assist you to evade heavy blows while your dash is on cooldown while also doing massive damage to a specific adversary.
Spear
The Spear, unlike most other weapon types, does not have a huge arcing hitbox. Instead, the assaults are thrusts that may pierce through a line of adversaries. It’s a fast-attacking weapon that’s perfect for swiftly blasting down a single adversary with Thousand Spears and tracking down adversaries with Harpoon.
Axes
Axes serve as a bridge between the Sword and the Mace, providing fair damage and attack rate. Its abilities are extremely potent, with the Frenzy providing an additional dash and a temporary increase in attack speed, and the X-Strike providing a mid-range debilitating assault for tough adversaries.
Reaper
The Reaper is another powerful yet time-consuming melee weapon. It lacks the gap-closing capabilities of the Mace, but its Tendon Swing causes a massive 125% physical damage in a single hit, making the Reaper far more powerful than it appears. I’m less interested in the Howling Reaper talent, which is hit-or-miss in my experience.
Mace
The Mace is the most powerful weapon in V Rising. Its DPS is really fairly low because of its slowness, but the damage per hit is extremely remarkable. The Crushing Blow skill is an excellent gap-closer that provides significant AoE damage, whilst the Smack skill accomplishes the reverse, placing distance between you and an opponent.
Slasher
The Slasher is a swift weapon that produces little damage per attack but provides a lot of usefulness thanks to its two talents. Elusive Strike is useful for evading assaults while doing damage, while Camouflage is useful in any scenario, especially for individuals who prefer creeping up on their opponents.
Crossbow
The Crossbow equips you with a dedicated ranged weapon that shoots strong bolts at a sluggish rate. There is no attack combo here, simply a simple shoot-reload-shoot mechanism. The interrupt effect of Snapshot is situationally effective against powerful adversaries (especially in PvP), but Rain Of Bolts does middling damage across a large area.
This concludes our look at the V Rising weapons. If you’re eager to get your hands on the next tier of weapons, look at V Rising boss locations, as killing these enemies is how you get new recipes.
