In the treacherous world of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the Kharod assault rifle is a powerful weapon that can be further enhanced with upgrades. To unlock the full potential of this weapon, you’ll need to locate specific blueprints scattered across the Yantar and Cordon regions. This guide will walk you through the process of finding these blueprints and upgrading your Kharod assault rifle.
Kharod Location
Head to the marked location in the Yantar Region. Once there, look for the broken cars nearby. You’ll notice a damaged wrought iron railing jump down to the ledge below and make your way to the door. Open it, and inside, you’ll find another door labeled “Yantar Dam.” Use the code 5578 to unlock it (this code stays the same for every playthrough). Inside the room, you’ll find a safe containing a Kharod assault rifle along with various loot, including healing items, food, and ammunition. You can upgrade the Kharod assault rifle at the Technician Harpy in Yaniv Station.

Rubber Coating Upgrade Blueprint Location
To find the Rubber Coating Upgrade Blueprint for your Kharod, you’ll need to venture into the Chasm located in the Yantar Region. Remember to equip some Chemical Protection gear before entering the Chasm, you can also use some radiation protection artifacts. There’s Poisonous Gas in there, so you’ll need to crouch to avoid it. Once you’re inside, head towards the middle of the Chasm.
You’ll find a stash on a rock containing the blueprint you’re looking for, along with a Moonlight Artifact and some other consumable items. This is the same place where you will find the body of Hermes. Don’t stay in the chasm for too long as the radiation will deplet your health.
Counterweight Blueprint Location
To find the blueprint for the counterweight Kharod, head to the Cordon region. Look for the northern checkpoint building and go behind the red house nearby. You’ll find some wooden boxes on the back of the house. Before going towards the boxes you will need to disarm the traps. Then shoot these boxes to reveal a stash behind the box. Inside this stash, you’ll find the Counterweight blueprint along with some other useful items.
