Lost Crossing is one of the earliest areas you’ll explore in the Hexi region of Where Winds Meet, and it contains several anecdotes that reveal more about the local culture, trade routes, and daily life. If you’re looking to collect them all, here’s a simple guide showing where to find every anecdote in Lost Crossing.

How to Get All Anecdotes in Lost Crossing 

When exploring the Hexi region, Lost Crossing is one of the earliest areas you’ll come across. If you’re wondering how to locate all the anecdotes or experiences in the area, then here’s an easy breakdown for you:

Anecdote 1 (Begging for Old Iron)

To get this anecdote, you’ll need to go to the marked location near Karez in Lost Crossing. After reaching the location, you’ll find two NPCs standing in front of a camel; interact with them to obtain the Begging for Old Iron anecdote. 

Anecdote 2 (Camel Foot Inn)

The second anecdote can be found in the middle of the area. When you arrive at the location, you’ll find two merchants talking about Camel Stations. Simply interact with them to get the Camel Foot Inn anecdote. 

Anecdote 3 (Karez and Celestial Spring Station)

To get the third anecdote, Karez and Celestial Spring Station, you’ll need to head over to the marked location in Lost Crossing. There, you’ll find Tang Qi; engage in dialogue with him to get the anecdote. 

Anecdote 4 (Frequent Sandstorms)

To acquire the fourth anecdote, you’ll need to head a little towards the northeastern part of the area. Change the time to the next day: Zi hours, and then go inside the wooden structure you’ll find at the marked location. There’s a room on the right side where you’ll find the NPC who gives you the Frequent Sandstorms anecdote.

Anecdote 5 (Wind-Listening Class)

For the fifth anecdote, go to the marked location in Lost Crossing, and it’ll take you to a sort of training center where kids are being trained by Wei Ziya. Interact with Wei Ziya, and he’ll give you two Wandering Tales that you’ll need to complete to get the Wind-Listening Class anecdote. 

Anecdote 6 (Village Households in Decline)

To get the sixth anecdote, head over to the marked location, and you’ll find yourself near an abandoned, broken,-down structure. There’s a sort of plank that you’ll need to climb to reach Wei Ruxian; engage in dialogue with her to get the Village Households in Decline anecdote.

Anecdote 7 (Unique Trade)

For the seventh anecdote, head over to the marked location, and it’ll take you to a beautiful house where Du Xiaoyan can be found talking with a merchant. Listen to their chat, and you’ll get the Unique Trade anecdote.

Anecdote 8 (Precious Well and Canal)

To get the eighth anecdote, head over to the marked location, and it’ll take you to a Wayfarer who tells you to talk with Hu Yushan. He can be found in the same area, a little towards the left. All you have to do is engage in dialogue with him and get the Precious Well and Canal anecdote.

Anecdote 9 (Like Attracts Like)

To get the ninth location, you’ll need to head a little towards the southwest of the area. There, you’ll find Old Caravan Master tending to one of his camels. Engage in dialogue with him, and he’ll give you a lot of info on camels. Once the conversation is over, you’ll get the Like Attracts Like anecdote. 

Anecdote 10 (Same Origin, Different Paths)

For the tenth anecdote, you won’t have to go to a different location, as you’ll get it where you found your ninth anecdote. Beside the Old Caravan Master, you’ll see that there is a little boy named Tuotuo. All you have to do is engage in dialogue with him, and you’ll get the Same Origin, Different Paths anecdote.

Anecdote 11 (North, South, East, West)

To get the eleventh anecdote, head over to the marked location, and change the timing to the next day: Chen hour. After you’ve reached the location, you’ll find yourself at an elevated area, looking over a town. To your right, you’ll find a kind of watch tower where two NPCs are talking. Listen to their conversation, then change to Wei hour (today), and you’ll get the North, South, East, West anecdote.

Anecdote 12 (Enduring Hardships and Sufferings)

To get the twelfth anecdote, head over to the marked location, and set the time to the next day: Zi hour. You’ll see that you’re in the city, near old buildings. To your left, you’ll find An Yandian looking over the city. Interact with him, and you’ll get the Enduring Hardships and Sufferings anecdote.

Note: You’ll need the Animal Whisper skill to unlock this anecdote.

Anecdote 13 (Tender Licorice)

For the thirteenth anecdote, you won’t need to go to a new location. After you get the twelfth anecdote from An Yandian, move forward keeping to your right, and you’ll find the Old Caravan Master there. Beside him, on the grass, you’ll find Tender Licorice. Take the licorice to An Yandian, and he’ll give you the Tender Licorice anecdote.

Anecdote 14 (Bridge Between Life and Death)

The fourteenth anecdote is quite easy to get because you won’t have to go to a different location for this. Just beside Old Caravan Master, you’ll find Tuotuo; engaging with him in dialogue will give you the Bridge Between Life and Death anecdote.

Anecdote 15 (Deceiving Heaven and Earth)

For the fifteenth anecdote, head over to the marked location, and you’ll come across an old structure. Right in front of the structure, you’ll find Feng Tingting sitting on a dining setup and drinking. Engaging in dialogue with her will give you the Deceiving Heaven and Earth anecdote. 

Anecdote 16 – (Returning to Leave Gifts for the Wife)

For the sixteenth anecdote, head over to the marked location, and you’ll find Fan Liangji. Engage in dialogue with him, and you’ll get the Returning to Leave Gifts for the Wife anecdote. 

Anecdote 17 (Youth on the Trade Route)

For the seventeenth and final anecdote, you’ll need to head over to the marked location. Once you arrive at the location, you’ll see that there is a caravan heading northwest. Change the time to Si hour (today) and go interact with the person leading the caravan. Once the interaction is complete, you’ll get the Youth on the Trade Route anecdote.
