How to Start The Polar Stones Quest
To get the Polar Stone objective, you need to talk to the Hoarse Fisher-Crone outside the Virga Island Inn. This will start a quest called Guiding Gift. You’ll have to find three Polar Stones inside the Dragon Temple. After talking to the woman, use your Gauntlet Runner to go to the Dragon Temple. Be careful, because you’ll have to fight a big tree monster called Treebeast Alento at the beginning of the temple. The enemies here are weak against fire, so classes like Commander/General, Masked Dancer, or Mage/Wizard are very effective. You have to finish this quest by 8/30. If you don’t, you won’t be able to finish it later and you won’t get the “Help Anyone in Need” trophy or achievement.
Polar Stones Location in Dragon Temple
After you start the Guiding Gift quest, it will tell you that all three Polar Stones are near the entrance of the Dragon Temple. It sounds easy, but finding the Polar Stones can be tricky. They are not marked inside the temple, but at the entrance. The Dragon Temple is blocked by a giant tree. To enter, you need a special item called the Potion of Blight.
Location of First Polar Stone
When you enter the temple, turn right immediately and look for the first Polar Stone near some broken rocks. There are some breakable jars in the corner of the room. If you examine them, you’ll see a question mark. Break the jars to find the first Polar Stone.
Location of Second Polar Stone
To find the second Polar Stone, go deeper into the temple until you reach the Labyrinthine Path. The Labyrinthine Path is the second part of the temple. Go west down the hallway and on your right, you’ll see a spark on the railing. Examine it to get the second Polar Stone.
Location of Third Polar Stone
The last stone is in the same room, but you’ll have to go through the room and find the marker in the middle. Before going up the stairs, turn right and you’ll see the last Polar Stone near some jars. If you’re going the wrong way, a black mist will appear on your screen. If that happens, turn back immediately. If you don’t, you’ll have to start from the last mural you touched.
