Progress in Abyssus isn’t solely a matter of farming Soul Fragments. Achievements also count, as many of them reveal very strong parts of Charms, items, or mechanics that can’t be obtained in any other manner. For new players, these achievement descriptions can be unclear—sometimes intentionally so—which might make it hard to understand just what the game is demanding of you.
One of the less clearly worded previous challenges is the Lightbringer Achievement. The directions simply instruct you to “light up the Hidden Brazier” but don’t say where you can find it. If you’ve wasted hours idle in dungeons and can’t even find a hint of where it is, don’t worry—the Hidden Brazier always stays in the same location and isn’t remotely difficult to access if you know where that location is.
Where to Find the Hidden Brazier (Lightbringer Achievement)

The Hidden Brazier is concealed prior to the initial boss fight in Abyssus. You need to access it the normal way through the first batch of dungeons:
- Begin your run with selecting Ascend from the hub room.
- Clear the first batch of rooms until you reach the blue portal to the second floor.
- Just keep doing this repeatedly up to the third floor to locate the last blue portal.
- When you pass the third floor, you will enter a cave section that contains a Key-locked door that you will have to open.
- Beyond this locked door, the path will take you eventually to the boss arena, which is easily identifiable since it’s a marked glowing red wall bar.
- Exploring through the barrier initiates the boss battle, and after that, the cave will be sealed forever for the rest of the run.
- And wait until you initiate the fight and turn back to the red wall barrier.
- To your right is a yellow brazier on fire, and to your left is a destroyed dark brazier. This dark brazier is the Hidden Brazier.
- Approach it and strike your interaction key (E).
- The brazier will glow with an otherworldly blue gem, providing you with the Lightbringer Achievement instantly.
What Does Lightbringer Unlock

Unleashing the Hidden Brazier uncovers a Rare Charm called Ms. Boom. This is a very helpful charm that gives all of your projectiles a 50% chance to detonate on impact and create area damage.
Ms. Boom is handy for any build, but it is even more so when paired with the Combat Bow on solo playthroughs, and you can one-shot large clusters of mobs and area control even more so.
One important thing to remember is that Charms in Abyssus are not permanent things you carry around. Popping Ms. Boom will just add it to the pool of available Charms you can pick up in delves. It may appear as a drop when you kill a boss or a chest, but you will never be carrying it with you across delves.
