The First Descendant is a Third-person Cooperative RPG Shooting game. Its beta version is launched on 20th October 2022. The game has both modes available- Single-player mode and Multiplayer mode. Playing an RPG shooter game without powerful bosses is almost impossible, so The First Descendant also has a few bosses available in the game, and one of them is the Gravewalker.
This guide will help you know how you can fight and defeat this boss in The First Descendant.
Gravewalker Boss Fight in The First Descendant- How to Defeat?
The Gravewalker boss is the enemy you can find while playing multiplayer. Players can’t get this boss while playing solo. In The First Descendant, players can make a team of 4 players maximum and fight these bosses together. Gravewalker is a weird-looking creature that throws fireballs at you, which destroys the structures and deals massive damage.
A void surrounds the battle arena; if you fall from there, you have to start again. Fortunately, you’ll respawn immediately and can start the fight. The same rule applies when you die. The Gravewalker is indeed a challenging opponent with powerful fireball attacks. So, you may die a few times while fighting this boss.
When it appears in the arena for the first time, you will find its shield and health bar on the top middle of your screen. The white bar is its shield, and the red bar indicates the health of the boss. As you attack, you’ll find that first, the shield bar is reducing, and then the health bar will reduce, once you completely break the shield off. Until the shield is entirely broken, the boss won’t take damage.
Now, to break the boss’s shield, you have to hit the boss’s weak points. These points will be shown as glowing blue (Image above). Aim and hit those points continuously to break the shield. As you hit the bright spots of the boss, you’ll see the boss’s shield is reducing. Once it’s completely broken, you can attack the boss randomly, and it’ll take damage. But before that, if you randomly attack the Gravewalker, it’s only a waste of your ammo. The boss won’t take damage.
The Gravewalker boss attacks in every range, but we suggest you to choose weapons that deal a lot of damage from long-distance. It’s better to attack the boss with long-range weapons to avoid the fireballs. Avoiding the boss’s attacks at a close distance will be difficult.
Now, with the boss comes its assistant- Roly Polys. They are easy to defeat, but they also deal a considerable amount of damage if you are hit. So keep some distance and shoot them. It’ll take two or three shots to kill them based on the weapon you choose.
Though the boss fight is difficult and time-consuming, you can defeat it if you and your teammates keep hitting the boss at the glowing spots first to break his shield. Once the shield is broken, things become much easier. However, the boss hits hard and deals tons of damage, so be careful of its attacks.
