Discord is a popular and excellent tool for online gamers to communicate with friends through text, video, and voice. Recently, Discord has launched a new update for their Android users exclusively in which they fixed various visual features. However, many players recently reported running into an error – “A bad request has occurred, please try again.” There might be multiple reasons for this error; some of the most common reasons include Network errors, server issues, firewall settings, etc. We have covered all potential solutions to fix the “Discord bad network request error.”

How to Fix Discord Bad Network Request Error

“A bad request has occurred. Please try again.” The error occurs when Discord is unable to connect to the server. That can be caused by a bad or poor network request, but fortunately, this error can be fixed with some quick and simple steps.

1. Restart the Discord App

The very first and quick solution is to simply restart your Discord app and check if the error is gone or not. Restarting the app will force a new Discord server connection, re-downloading the missing files. To close properly, right-click on Discord in the system tray and then select “Quit Discord,” and then relaunch it.

If the issue persists, then make sure to restart your PC once. This way, all services and programs will be reset to their default settings.

2. Check Your Internet Settings

If your internet connection is poor or not stable, you might encounter an “A bad request has occurred” error while running Discord, so make sure it is working fine and stable.

Besides, you can also reduce the users from the same network or switch from WiFi to wired or mobile hotspot connection and check if the issue is resolved.

3. Check Your Firewall Settings

The next method is ensuring your antivirus is not interfering with the connection. If your antivirus software is blocking the connection between Discord and the server, you might receive an “A bad request has occurred” error on Discord. In that case, whitelist Discord or simply disable your Firewall temporarily and then check if that does make any difference.

That’s all we have at the moment to fix the bad network request error on Discord.
