The last mission in MW4 DMZ is Operation Fallen Ember, in which you need to obtain a nuclear warhead from a highly radioactive zone called Haneul Nuclear Reactor. There are a few things that you need to complete this mission. That includes collecting and cleaning up three fuel rods, defeating two bosses, and escaping via boat. This guide covers the essential steps and preparation needed to complete the mission successfully.
Prepare for the Mission
Make sure to collect enough radiation protection equipment, including gas masks prior to entering the area. Standard blue gas masks may only work for a limited time so it’s best to pack anywhere from five to ten masks.
If you come equipped with Epic gas masks, then having around three to five should do assuming that you don’t take too long to complete the mission. Extra masks might also prove handy if you have to lend some to members of your team.
How to Unlock Reactor 01

Advance towards the northeastern area of the map to reach the Haneul Nuclear Reactor. Take out the AI enemies dressed in hazmat suits, as they have a chance to drop gas masks. The additional masks can also be found on tables inside nearby tents.

After gathering necessary resources, enter the radiation zone via the marked tunnel. If you wish to do so, you can use a vehicle like an LTV to pass through the checkpoints. Follow the map marker to climb the stairs and use the zipline, which will allow you to get over the broken nuclear reactor. From there, jump down and follow the route through the reactor, proceed down through the reactor while killing enemies until you reach the fuel rod area.
How to Initialize and Withdraw All Three Fuel Rods

You will need to start off by initializing and withdrawing three fuel rods before you start the decontamination process. After that, use map markers to locate terminals. Interact with the first terminal to initialize the fuel rod, then jump into the water to withdraw it. Then go to the water to withdraw it.
Wearing a gas mask is necessary because of the radiation danger. Follow the same procedure for the second and third fuel rods. When all three rods are withdrawn, you can continue the decontamination process.
How to Decontaminate the Fuel Rods

Locate the terminal marked on your map, and activate it to commence the decontamination process. The process will be shown by a status bar as enemy drones attack the area. You will have to fend off the invading drones during the decontamination process. Repeat this procedure for the remaining fuel rods. After all three have been decontaminated, you will receive the objective to secure the warhead.
How to Defeat the Bosses and Secure the Warhead

Proceed towards the area marked on your map. In this warhead area, you will encounter two bosses. The first boss will be equipped with a shotgun and will have a lot of health. If you find it difficult to defeat him, dip into the water and emerge on the surface to shoot at him. Repeat this process until he is defeated.
Later on, Colossus will appear equipped with a mini gun. Run to the ledge immediately so you don’t get stuck there. Just make sure to shoot at its head for maximum damage. In case you run out of bullets, you can use the knife to distract him and let your teammate attack from the back.
After defeating the Colossus, pick up the key or the keycard that he drops in order to use it for the garage door.
How to Reach the Extraction Point

To get started, you need to use your key or keycard to get through the garage door. After that, you have to board the boat and follow the marked checkpoint. At this point, two enemy helicopters will follow you and shoot missile rockets at you.
It is better to get rid of the enemy helicopters before you arrive at the extraction point. As soon as you have cleared the helicopter part and completed your extraction task, you would be able to complete Operation Fallen Ember in DMZ.
