Brumak is one of the toughest bosses that players have to fight against in the game Gears of War: E-Day. Brumak possesses many strong attacks such as chain attack, stomp attack, and grab attack that may cause the fight to become difficult for players, especially when fighting it out in the open. This guide explains how to beat the Brumak safely and deal heavy damage while avoiding its most dangerous attacks.
Brumak Boss Fight Overview
Brumak is possibly one of the most difficult enemies in Gears of War E-Day. It has a number of attacks which will knock you out immediately, such as the chain attack, stomp attack, and grab attack. The Brumak also calls an additional enemy who shoots at you using projectiles. It is important to ensure that you have the appropriate weapons and Tactical Gear before engaging in battle.

Make sure that you bring along two Razor Mines for this battle. These can be dropped onto the floor before the Brumak reaches you. As soon as it steps on the mines, they will do quite some damage to it, lowering its health bar significantly at the start of the battle.
Also ensure you have the Stim Vaporiser with you as well. It will be very helpful since it will enable you to be revived in case you go down. It won’t be necessary to wait for an AI or any other player to revive you all the time.
For weapons, bring along the Longshot and Torque Bow. The Longshot weapon will be particularly helpful in getting headshots. The Torque Bow will do lots of damage once you charge up before shooting. With the mentioned combination, you are prepared for the battle against the Brumak.
How to Beat the Brumak

After jumping over the fence, do not run straight to the Brumak. It could attack you with its chain and drop you, so it would be better to create a little bit of distance. Put both Razor Mines on the ground where the Brumak will step. When the monster steps on them, the explosives will deal significant damage.
Now you can move to the small area that is located behind the pillar. This is a crucial step of the strategy. The Brumak will not be able to reach you from that location. Neither stomp attacks nor grabbing will affect you. It means that you will have a safe zone to attack the monster.
But pay attention to the chain attacks. The chain could penetrate any structure, so do not think that nothing bad will happen to you here. When you notice this attack, you should evade to avoid it. Now you can attack the Brumak using Torque Bow and Longshot.
Aim at the head of the monster for maximum damage. As we have mentioned above, the Brumak is quite a big creature, so even hip-firing Longshot can hit it.
Deal With the Summoned Enemy

In the middle of the fight, the Brumak will summon another enemy, resembling a large floating sack. It is vital not to neglect it, as it can start throwing various projectiles at you. You should use the Longshot on it and shoot it right in the eye.
As soon as the monster is destroyed, you will be able to continue to fight the boss. Keep using the Longshot and Torque Bow to damage Brumak’s head. In addition, the game says that the head is the most appropriate area to aim at, so you should do it.
In case you get knocked down during the battle, you will be revived by your team members. However, you can use the Stim Vaporiser to revive yourself. Thus, in case you feel that you are about to be knocked down, it is better to use the mentioned weapon.
Continue shooting the boss from behind the pillar and dodge the chain when necessary. It is important to note that the Brumak cannot attack you by stomping and grabbing from this location. Therefore, the battle will be much easier for you. Eventually, its health bar will run out, and the Brumak will die.
Brumak Boss Fight Tips
The best tactic to overcome the Brumak would be to use the small space behind the pillar. Set your two Razor Mines before engaging in combat, then hide behind the pillar and strike the boss from a distance. Shoot using Longshot and Torque Bow at the same time. Destroy the spawned enemy and have your Stim Vaporiser at hand in case you fall down. If you try to face the boss in the open, you may experience some difficulties, but using this tactic will make it easy to kill Brumak.
