If you’re trying to befriend Pink Frillish in the Pokémon Pokopia Bubbly Basin DLC, you’ll also need to help it find a special Starmie Doll hidden deep inside a cave. This small side quest is easy to miss, especially if you don’t know where to look. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find Pink Frillish, how to get through the cave, and where to pick up the Starmie Doll so you can complete the quest.
Where To Find Pink Frillish
Talk with Popplio and ask him about his friend. He will ask which friend he is talking about. Choose the option “The Floaty Pink one”. Popplio will say that the Pokémon is present inside the cave. Go towards the cave in the farthest corner of the map. The cave will be blocked by the sand wall. Use Rock Smash to destroy the wall. Now enter the cave to find Pink Frillish. Talk to the Frillish, and it will ask you to be its friend.
Where To Find Starmie Doll
Now the Frillish will tell you that it wants to explore the cave and ask for your help. Take Frillish with you on your journey while exploring the cave. Remove the obstacles from your path and continue to move forward. On your path, you will also find the sand wall. Break the sand wall with Rock Smash and continue forward. After some time, Frillish will say that it likes dolls that have signs that the owner cared for them. Now you have to find a Starmie Doll for Frillish.
Move forward inside the cave to find something for the Frillish. Next to the area, you will find Star-spotted rock. Use Rock Smash to get the rock and a treasure box. Inside the treasure box, you will find the Starmie doll. Now give the Starmie doll. To Frillish, and she will be very happy to help you build your base.
The Starmie Doll is not only an object in the quest but something that you can always use, even after helping the Frillish. Once you have it, take its photograph and create more copies with the help of the 3D Printer when required. Each such copy will cost you 5 Rare Pokémetals.
The Starmie Doll will also allow you to travel to the Basin Dream Island, an exclusive zone that can be reached only by using this item.
Pink Frillish Habitat
To keep the Pink Frillish in your base, you’ll need to build the Ocean Treasures habitat. You can create it using:
- 1 Sparkling Jewellery
- 1 Bottled Ship
- 1 Marine Chest.
Once Frillish arrives, you’ll have a better chance of keeping it happy by decorating your base with dark-themed items, as it prefers darker surroundings. It also loves lots of water, spooky decorations, ocean-themed furniture, places where it can watch its surroundings, and fabric items. If you decide to give it food, sour-flavoured treats are its favourite.
