Precipice Ridge is home to 17 Experience Anecdotes hidden throughout the Hidden Mountain region in Where Winds Meet. Some require changing the in-game time, while others are tied to quests, conversations, or specific interactions. This guide covers every Anecdote location and explains exactly how to unlock each one along with its rewards.

All Anecdote Locations in Precipice Ridge

There are a total of seventeen Anecdotes that can be located in Precipice Ridge, Hidden Mountains. Here’s an easy way to locate each one:

Anecdote #1 – The Conflict of Reputation 

To get this anecdote, you’ll need to head a little towards the western side of Precipice Ridge. Once you’re at the marked location, set the time to Wu hour and interact with Ding Jie and Xie Hua, both of whom can be found at the location. Once the interaction is done, you’ll obtain The Conflict of Reputation anecdote. You’ll also get 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain EXP, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade with it. 

Anecdote #2 – Sky Draped in Blossom 

To get this anecdote, you’ll need to go a little towards the southeast of Millenium Crossing and change the time to Si hour. Once you’re at the marked location, go inside the structure. On the left side, you’ll find Old Helmsman’s Family Letters. 

Anecdote #3 – For Tomorrow 

To get your hands on this anecdote, you’ll need to head over to the marked location in Precipice Ridge. Once you’re there, change the time to Shen hour, and then observe Qinglang who can be found standing in the distance. This will get you the For Tomorrow anecdote along with 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain EXP, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade as rewards.

Anecdote #4 – The Price of Opening 

To get this anecdote, head over to the marked location, and you’ll find He Qiu standing there looking at a wall with notes. You’ll need to go stand behind him and observe in order to receive The Price of Opening anecdote. You’ll also get 10× Fun Point, 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain EXP, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade with it. 

Anecdote #5 – Games Beneath Cloud 

Head over to the marked location and you’ll find the Wise Monkey, Hero Monkey, and Contentious Monkey sitting together in a circle. Indulge in a game of Madiao Cards with them and defeat them to get the Games Beneath Cloud anecdote. You’ll also get 10× Fun Point, 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain EXP, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade with it. 

Anecdote #6 – Leaving the Mountain

To get this one, you’ll again need to interact with the Wise Monkey, Hero Monkey, and Contentious Monkey sitting together in a circle at the Cloud Pavilion. Simply interacting with them and playing a round of Madiao will give you the Leaving the Mountain anecdote. You’ll also get 10× Fun Point, 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain EXP, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade with it. 

Anecdote #7 – Quiet Guardian 

To obtain this anecdote, you’ll need to go a little towards the northwest of Precipice Ridge. Once you’re at the marked location, change the time to Wu hour, and interact with Chen Lin to receive the Quiet Guardian anecdote. You’ll also get 10× Fun Point, 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain EXP, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade with it. 

Anecdote #8 – Mystery of Disappearance 

After you’ve obtained the Quiet Guardian anecdote by interacting with Chen Lin, talk with him a little more and ask about the Cave. He’ll tell you a story about the lecturers and artisans, and once the conversation is over, you’ll receive the Mystery of Disappearance anecdote. You’ll also get 10× Fun Point, 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain EXP, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade with it. 

Anecdote #9 – The Creed of Protection 

To get this anecdote, you’ll need to head a little towards the southeast of Precipice Ridge. Once you’re at the marked location, you’ll find Qiongqi Artificer A talking in the distance about Mohists. Listen to his conversation and you’ll obtain The Creed of Protection anecdote. You’ll also get 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain Exploration, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade as rewards. 

Anecdote #10 – The Rite of Emergence

To get this anecdote, head over to the marked location, and you’ll find yourself in front of a structure. Go up the stairs and equip Celestial Seize. Then, take the Halcyon’s Invitation you’ll find on the right side. This will give you The Rite of Emergence anecdote along with 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain Exploration, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade as rewards. 

Anecdote #11 – Throat Wound

To obtain this anecdote, you’ll need to go a little towards the west of Precipice Ridge. Once you’re at the marked location, change the time to Hai hour, and go inside the house on the right. You’ll find Ren Ran inside, interact with him and you’ll get the Throat Wound anecdote along with 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain Exploration, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade as rewards. 

Anecdote #12 – Dark Kite Crafting 

To get this anecdote you’ll need to go a little towards the southeast from Old Mohist City. You get this anecdote during the A Voice From Afar Quest. Once you reach the marked location, you’ll need to go find Xue Youzhi on the right. Interact with him and accept the disguise from him. 

After that, you’ll need to go to Spiritroost. Once you’re at the marked location, you’ll need to activate a kind of elevator by pulling the lever and going down to find the book: Maintenance Guidelines for the Wooden Eagles. You’ll get the anecdote after this along with 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain Exploration, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade as rewards. 

Anecdote #13 – Messages from Inkbound Order

To get this anecdote, head over to the marked location in Precipice Ridge. Once you’re there, you’ll find Bai Yun and Hei Yan interacting with each other. Change the time to Zi hour and listen to their conversation to obtain the Messages from Inkbound Order anecdote. You’ll also get 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain Exploration, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade as rewards. 

Anecdote #14 – The Millennial Path

To get this anecdote, you’ll need to head towards the northeast of Precipice Ridge. Once you’re at the marked location, change the time to Wu hour, and listen to the conversation going on between the Mohist Hill Disciples to obtain The Millennial Path anecdote. You’ll also get 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain Exploration, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade as rewards. 

Anecdote #15 – A Secondary Site

You get this anecdote during the Tale Within A Tale quest. When you encounter Zhen Sheji and take him to the Bureau of Relief, you’ll receive the A Secondary Site anecdote along with 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain Exploration, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade as rewards. 

Anecdote #16 – Time of Return

To get this anecdote, head over to the marked location in Precipice Ridge, and change the time to Shen hour. You’ll find yourself in front of a structure, go inside, and you’ll find Zhen Yingxiong and Shu Qin training disciples. You’ll simply need to observe them to get the Time of Return anecdote. You’ll also get 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain Exploration, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade as rewards. 

Anecdote #17 – The Silent Settlement 

To obtain this anecdote, head over to the marked location in Precipice Ridge, and you’ll find some Mohist Hill disciples studying. Observe them and you’ll receive The Silent Settlement anecdote along with 5× Echo Jade, 5× Hidden Mountain Exploration, 15× Jade Fish, and 105 Trace Jade as rewards.
