Cloth will be one of your primary crafting resources in Palworld, and it will be required for creating Cloth Armour and many other helpful things. It is not that hard to get Cloth if you know how to acquire Wool and unlock the Cloth recipe. In this guide, we’ll tell you the fastest ways to get Cloth, where to farm Wool, which Pals can help produce it automatically, and a few alternative methods to keep your supply stocked throughout your adventure.
How to Get Cloth

In order to craft Cloth in Palworld, it is necessary to collect the Cloth recipe in the Technology Tree. The good news is that the recipe is obtainable early on during the gameplay, since it can be obtained in Technology Level 3.
Now that you have it, you should hunt some Lamballs. These creatures drop Wool, and it is required for making cloth. In order to get the recipe for Cloth, you first need to advance to Technology Level 3 and unlock the recipe in the Technology menu. After unlocking it, you should go to a Primitive Workbench that is available from the beginning of the game and use 2 Wool to create 1 Cloth. After collecting enough Wool, go to your Crafting Bench and use it to make Cloth.
How to Use Cloth
You’ll need Cloth for several early-game items, including Cloth Armour, making it an important material to gather as you progress through the game. Cloth is an important ingredient needed to craft manyt defensive items in the game. As you progress through the levels, you will require huge amounts of cloth when making recipes such as the Mega Glider and different types of heat-proof or cold-proof armor.
How to Farm Cloth

Rather than farming it yourself, you may set this Pal in a Ranch, and it will generate High Quality Cloth automatically after some time. In order to do this, first capture a Sibelyx from its habitat. Then, once you bring it back to your base, put it inside the Ranch. Now, after some time, the Sibelyx will drop High Quality Cloth. This cloth will be generated regularly by the Pal.
Therefore, you will get a continuous supply of this cloth without having to make any extra effort. If you have transport Pals working at your base, don’t worry if you don’t see the cloth lying in the Ranch. They will automatically pick it up and move it to your storage boxes, where you can collect it later.
How to Get Wool

The easiest way to get Wool is by collecting it from certain Pals. You can obtain Wool by either catching or defeating these Pals during your adventures. The following Pals have a chance to drop Wool:
- Lamball
- Cremis
- Melpaca
- Kingpaca
- Kingpaca Cryst
- Snugloo
- Swee
- Sweepa
- Woolipop Terra
Lamball will be the best choice if you only begin your adventure because it is abundant in the early zones and can be defeated easily. Further, as you move through the game and explore other regions of the world, you will meet other Wool-dropping Pals and will have multiple opportunities to collect enough Wool.
If you don’t plan to collect Wool from Pals, you may choose two other simple methods. The first way will be buying it from the Wandering Merchant in the Small Settlement. In this case, each Wool will cost you 200 Gold Coins. So, you may consider this option in case you have enough money.
Another great option is to build a Ranch and assign a Lamball, Cremis, or Melpaca to work there. Thanks to their Partner Skills, these Pals will produce Wool automatically over time. This passive method is one of the best ways to keep a steady supply of Wool without having to go out and hunt for it every time you need more.
Other Ways to Get Cloth in Palworld
In case you do not wish to make Cloth, then here are some alternatives for acquiring it. Cloth may be bought from the Caravan Leader at 80 Gold Coins per unit. It’s a fast way in case you lack Wool or require clothes urgently. You can also obtain Cloth from the Pals that you manage to defeat or capture. The following Pals can give you Cloth:
- Azurobe – Drops 1 to 3 Cloth (100% chance)
- Azurobe Cryst – Drops 1 to 3 Cloth (100% chance)
- Felbat – Drops 1 to 2 Cloth (100% chance)
- Selyne – Drops 1 to 2 Cloth (60% chance)
- Croajiro – Drops 1 to 2 Cloth (25% chance)
- Croajiro Noct – Drops 1 to 2 Cloth (25% chance)
Alpha forms of the Pals have the same drop rate of Cloth as the ordinary Pals do. Therefore, since you are already exploring such zones where the Pals spawn, it will be a good way to collect extra Cloth while gathering other resources.
