7 Best Base Locations
In Palworld 1.0, there have been many changes to the map as it introduces new territories and upgrades many existing territories. Owing to this, there are a lot of fantastic places where you can build your base. There are many factors that you should consider when selecting a base territory. The first thing is that the place must be rich in the resources you require at the current stage of the game, like Ore, Coal, Sulfur, and Quartz. Another factor is that it should be a huge and flat territory, as it will make it easy for construction.
1. Crystal Pool, Sun Reach (-540, -1361)
One of the most beautiful places in the new Sun Reach is the Crystal Pool. Because of how shallow it is, you can build on it directly without the need for the Aquatic Building Kit, making construction much easier than building over deep water.
It is quite open and flat with fewer obstacles, meaning that you have more room to build a large base there. The only problem would be the nearby spawn of the Jetdragon world boss. As it spawns around this location, you should build your base at a bit of distance to avoid any unnecessary fights. Despite that minor issue, it is definitely one of the most beautiful base spots in Palworld 1.0.
2. Sorlite Ore Cluster, Sun Reach (-583, -1444)
If you require a resource base location, this place makes a good choice. This place has a large number of deposits of Sorlite Ore, surrounded by plenty of open land for building. Although you would be able to unlock the Sorlite Ore Pit at some point and thus become less dependent upon the natural deposits of Sorlite Ore, having some nodes close to you is useful during the initial days of the new area.
3. Flame Pulse Island (788, 457)
Flame Pulse Island is a new island introduced in the update, and most places on this island are suitable for setting up your base. Nevertheless, the best place to build is the huge flat area located at the centre of the island.
Since there is a world boss which is well hidden from the main location of the island, building in that place won’t create any troubles. There aren’t many resources on this island, but it won’t be difficult to collect them in Palworld 1.0, where everything became easier.
4. Southern Yellow Forest
There is also another great spot located a bit further south within the Yellow Forest. There are many Ore deposits in that area, there are lots of Stones, and even an enemy camp if you need some additional resources.
5. Large Open Plateau
This large, flat plateau is probably one of the best areas to build a base in the entire game. The land here provides plenty of area to build a big base without any problem with rough terrain. If you enjoy building detailed structures, this location gives you all the space you’ll need.
6. Ore and Sulfur Location
Sulfur resources have been added at various spots through the Palworld 1.0 update, and this particular spot is among the best examples. Both Ore and Sulfur are found here in abundance, which means that players will no longer have to go to the volcano to gather Sulfur.
7. Twin Plateau Bases
The two plateaus located next to each other are some of the most useful places in the game when it comes to resources. The plateau on the right is full of Coal and Sulfur, while the plateau on the left has Ore deposits. These places are totally flat and have treasure chests around them.
