If you want to earn the optional reward Amulet of the Gods from The Temple of Innos quest in Gothic 1 Remake, you must first find the hidden temple and then return to Nefarius with the Sacred Relic back from there. Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can obtain the amulet easily.
Reach the Temple of Innos
The Innos Temple is a Chapter 3 main quest in Gothic 1 Remake. It is given by Water Mage Nefarius, who will send you to an ancient temple, hidden in the tundra, where you have to return with a very old book (and an optional relic). Once you have learned the Climbing skill, you can go find the temple.
From the entrance of the Old Mine, go to your left along the path until you come to a small goblin camp. On the left-hand side of the campfire is a hut where you can get the Schematic for Warrior Verdict and there is a chest with a ring lying just to the side of this hut.
After this, you will have to move up the nearby ladder and continue along the climbing walls that take you to the tundra. Be sure to keep an eye out for goblins while you are climbing.
Once you reach the tundra, keep going straight until you see a cave with wolves inside it. There is a dead adventurer that you can loot for the Amulet of Might, giving you +7 Strength and +7 Dexterity.
Keep going through the tundra sticking close to the left until you reach a waterfall. You should be able to avoid the Shadow Beast that is nearby. When you swim through the waterfall, it will then reveal a hidden entrance into the Temple of Innos.
Recover the Temple Relics
To finish your main task, you’ll need to defeat the Skeleton Mage by going to the temple. After you defeat it, you will have to collect both the Magic Runes and Rituals books from the center of the room to meet your main objective for this quest. You will also find a chest which contains the Rain of Fire Rune.
To obtain the optional relic you need to go to the left, climb up the rubble, go up the ladder, kill all the skeletons that you encounter in the upper region, and go through the large door that leads outside. You will then have to take a path to the battlefield and loot orcs that have been defeated:
- Innos’ Grace
- Orc Medicine
- Maximum Health item
- Maximum Mana item
Return to Nefarius
When you return to the Water Mage’s quarters, you can talk to Nefarius again about your completion of the Temple of Innos quest once you have given him Innos’ Grace. You will obtain an amulet that has Defense, Fire Protection, and +5 Strength bonuses as a reward for completing this quest.
