Once you have defeated Grim and his allies during the Amulet quest in Gothic 1 Remake, there is a major decision that you will have to make after the battle’s conclusion; you will have the option of either killing or sparing Grim through a post-battle dialogue option. In this guide, we have explained everything. You will get to know what happens as a result of each choice, including rewards or consequences stemming from each outcome.
Grim Dialogue Choice

In this section of the Amulet quest, you will find yourself facing Grim along with two diggers who tricked you to leave the camp. Upon defeating them, you will unlock a cutscene where Grim offers you a chance to settle things peacefully. Two dialogue options will be available to you at this point:
“Shut up and fight”
“Let’s bury the hatchet”
Your decision determines whether Grim becomes an enemy again or survives the encounter.
What Happens if You Kill or Spare Grim?

To make Grim angry again, select “Shut up and fight.” This will give you 60XP and all of Grim’s loot, you’ll just need to defeat and kill him for it. If you want more rewards and experience in this early part of the game, this is your best option.
When you select “Let’s bury the hatchet,” Grim will survive and will be friendly towards you. You will not receive any of Grim’s loot or 60XP, but there is a chance that he can help you in battles later on as one of your allies.
Which Choice Is Better?
Your choice should be influenced by your playstyle. If you want to get immediate experience and loot, you should kill Grim; if you want to have an additional character in your group for later in combat, then spare Grim. Choose what works best for you considering whether you want short term rewards from killing him or future assistance by saving Grim and having him available at a later time to help out.
