Lithium is an important resource for players in Subnautica 2. While some lithium deposits are located east of the Life Pod, in warmer areas, players can also collect plenty of lithium in the starting biome by exploring around wreckage sites and a dangerous plant-like creature nearby.
Head Southwest From the Life Pod

Lithium can be acquired quickly if one knows where to search. The first location is east of the Life Pod, near a warm area where the water temperature rises. Lithium can be found deeper underwater. However, there is also a second location of lithium in the first biome.

To find the location, travel directly southwest from the Life Pod until you reach a cliff. From there, descend to around 80 meters deep while still traveling southwest. You will eventually come across a wreckage and a place where you can upgrade your inventory. Next to the wreckage, there is a clam that contains lithium.
Find Lithium Near the Wreckage

Once you collect the lithium, move forward until you come across a giant Venus flytrap-like creature, where you will find enough lithium stored within its body.

Be cautious when entering, as you wouldn’t want to trigger it by bumping to its sides. Once inside, you can use your sonic resonator to collect the lithium deposits. and they should all be located fairly close to where you collected the lithium. There is quite a lot available in this area.
When you leave, don’t touch any of the red areas. If it looks as if the creature is going to close on you, quickly exit through the sides instead of trying to swim upwards.
