The Path of Trials is one of the Abyss puzzles in Crimson Desert that uses movement, timing, and temperature management. At first, the area can look confusing because of the strong wind currents, ice, and fire placed around the room, but the puzzle is short once you understand how each mechanic works. The key is to watch your heat gauge carefully, use the environment to stay in the safe temperature range, and activate the power device in the correct order to unlock the path forward.
Path of Trials Abyss Puzzle Location
First, you need to finish the Frostbitten Paradise section, as this will unlock the path ahead. After leaving this area, you need to continue down the path until you find a large gate with a rotating mechanism.
Take the mechanism, and turn it until the nearby turbines start to turn. As soon as the turbines start to turn, jump on them, allowing you to glide over the gap. Continue to follow the air current, travelling from one platform to another until you reach the upper platforms ahead.
Let the wind carry you upwards, then glide towards the teleporter. The teleporter will take you directly to the Path of Trials. Before entering the main puzzle area, you need to take the nearby Abyss Nexus to unlock the fast travel point.
Path of Trials Abyss Puzzle Solution
The main mechanic in the puzzle area is controlling the temperatures. If you look near your minimap, you will see a heat gauge. This will switch between cold, normal, and hot temperatures. It is important to keep your character in the normal state because if you are too cold or too hot, your stamina will fall greatly.
The torches and ice will help you control your temperatures. If you are too cold, stand near the torch. However, you do not stand too close because you will heat up. Once you have achieved a stable state, go up to the platform and remove the battery from its slot.
Enter the rooms by climbing on the rocks or using Force Palm or Axiom Force to climb. When you enter these rooms, turn left and keep moving forward until you find a small opening leading outside to a power mechanism. Remove it and set it aside as you will not need it for the final solution.
Now, go to the frozen device near you. Use your heated sword technique directly on the ice until it melts. After the ice melts, insert it into the slot and activate it while keeping your position so you will not fall because of the wind. Look up to spot the circular platform above you, then use Force Palm in the center of it. This will restore the Abyss and finish the challenge. This will solve the puzzle in the Path of Trials.
