Highlights
- Flushmaster isn’t about hitting harder, it’s about staying in place and not getting killed easily.
- Poor positioning during the fight is more dangerous than the boss itself.
- Play patiently, use terrain wisely, and Flushmaster will become predictable instead of frustrating.
The Flushmaster is not much to look at, but it is a mini-boss that will test your ability to control movement more than how much damage you can do to it. If you are out of position or get affected by a knockback or due to the terrain, then it could lead to quick death. In this guide, I will help you understand how to manage the arena correctly, how to select the correct units for this fight, and how to turn the fight from being frustrating into being controlled and successful.
Why Flushmaster Is Trickier Than He Looks
Flushmaster inflicts a moderate amount of damage with few of the typical abilities associated with most enemies. However, the danger comes from being displaced from their individual positions and therefore getting thrown by Flushmaster into walls, hazards, and even into other players. Displacement can cause much more actual damage than a normal attack.
Players that are aggressive, melee oriented, and attack Flushmaster directly will typically have a much more difficult time with Flushmaster than those players who take a much slower, more cautious approach.
Best Units for the Fight

One of the strongest strategies at this location is to build a solid, defensive frontline.
- A tank is needed to absorb some amount of knockback damage and remain standing while other characters may fall.
- A cleric provides constant healing to mitigate the risk of taking accumulated damage over time.
- A hunter provides ranged pressure (very valuable) while attempting to reach Flushmaster.
If you can, a Thief is one of the better picks to use for this specific encounter. Their mobility allows them to get around a lot of the forced movement, and they can hit from locations that are advantageous for them. The Fighter is able to work in this encounter too, but is much more vulnerable when they do not have support behind them.
If used effectively, Magic users can contribute in this encounter, but because of their low survival rate, they are risky to use without having at least a good level of defensive upgrades.
Core Mechanics to Understand
Knockback Control
Flushmaster can rapidly move, with his primary ability pushing everything in front of him across the arena. The push does not cause lethal damage, but the objects you collide with after being moved will likely deal damage to you. It is critical that you use the environment correctly in order to avoid being separated from your team.
By placing your units behind solid objects, you can ensure they are only pushed a short distance from where they began, allowing you to keep your team together instead of having them spread out across the entire arena.
Teleport Pattern
As Flushmaster pushes the arena, he’ll move to a new direction before ending his turn. This gives you time to retrieve from the push, heal, and then safely attack and reposition yourself before the push again.
Once you understand how this works, you can start to manage your movement in the fight. Use the downtime to regroup and get close to Flushmaster rather than running around recklessly chasing him.
Finishing the Encounter
Once Flushmaster goes down, you can kill a small enemy who falls into the arena with minimal health. It is a very weak enemy, and will not cause any trouble. You can just kill it immediately.
Flushmaster is much more rewarding if you are patient than if you are aggressive. Make sure that your spacing is correct and that you take advantage of the terrain so that you can use ranged damage to get most of the damage done. Once you have figured out how to use the movement to your advantage and have planned around it, this boss is much less frustrating, and much easier to kill.
