The construction in Where Winds Meet is very open and accommodating. You are free to build whenever you want, and you can even go back to correct mistakes without any cost of resources. Although at the moment, it’s purely aesthetic, it’s very developed, which indicates that they are planning to develop it further in future updates.

What Is Construction?

Building allows you to create and insert building and decoration pieces directly into your game world. You can go into Building Mode at any point and select pieces from a variety of categories.
Key things to know:
- No limits on placements
- Items can be recycled without charge
- All that you construct has lasting effects in your world
- The system is meant for experimenting, not for punishment
Future patches (though based on the CN version) should introduce farming, NPCs working, and expanded build areas.
Crafting Costs & Limits
Arranging objects is free. Crafting them is stamina and material-intensive.
| Requirement | Details |
| Stamina | For crafting purposes only, refilled every day. |
| Daily Capacity | 500 pieces per day |
| Main Materials | Wood, Raw Ore |
Almost everything requires 1 stamina point, meaning stamina isn’t something to worry about, at least for mass building.

Features of Core Construction

Construction Mode also has a variety of tools that help with construction.
| Feature | What it Does |
| Recycling | Uninstalls items and immediately refunds them |
| Extraction | Quickly places another copy of an existing entity |
| Blueprints | Previews full structures before spending materials |
| Quick Bar | Custom hotbar for items that are used frequently |
Manual Building Basics
When placing an item, you must consider:
- If it’s already in your inventory, it’s put instantly.
- If not, it auto-crafts based on placement.
The items that you do not own are listed with an asterisk, indicating the number that you could craft.
Structural elements such as walls, doors, windows, and roofs will connect automatically, which will make the assembly of complete buildings simpler.
Building With Blueprints

Blueprints show you an entire frame of architecture so you can anticipate sizing and planning.
You can:
- Construct each piece by hand
- Auto-complete the blueprint if you have the material for it.
The blueprints also include all the required parts of the construction, which helps in avoiding structures that are half-finished.

Where You Can Build

You can construct anywhere in the open world, except that a few restrictions apply.
| Permitted | Not Allowed |
| Open-world terrain | Major cities (Kaifeng, Blissful Retreat) |
| Hills and Plains | Caves and dungeons |
| Near rocks (within reason) | Interior locations |
Land doesn’t have to be flat land, and ladders can be set anywhere, so vertical buildings become a simple matter.
Are Builds Permanent?
Yes. Anything you build will remain in your world forever.
- Structures are stable through trials.
- Logging off or travelling doesn’t erase them
- Online mode does not have Builds
Your creations are always waiting for you when you come back.
How to Obtain the Construction Material

It depends solely on Wood and Raw Ore.
| Material | How to Get It |
| Wood | Chopping certain types of trees in the world |
| Raw Ore | Mine rock nodes (Dark-hued stones) |
| Both | Purchase from traders or from in-world nodes |
Using Material Tracking systems is helpful in resource farming if you do not want to be limited in buying from the merchant or if you want to cut costs.
