Arc Raiders: Snap And Salvage Quest Guide

Surviving in ARC Raiders means continually putting yourself in harm’s way, especially during early runs. The materials you return with are what keep the fight going, and each time you venture into Stella Montis, it’s an opportunity to discover something new. Tian Wen, this time around, needs fresh data and rare components, and in doing so, she requires you to scout the area and return whatever you can salvage.

This guide will walk you through every objective in the Snap and Salvage quest, including where to find every item and how to get out safely.

How to Photograph the Rover in the Sandbox

The first place you’ll visit once you deploy into Stella Montis is the Robotic Sandbox. There are two Sandbox zones at the centre of the map, each of which features rovers that look like compact dune buggies.

Several things to be aware of:

  • Shredders
  • Fireballs
  • Pops
  • Sentinels

All of these enemies patrol the area and will attack once they detect you.

Simply approach any rover you see and interact with it to take the picture. Once that image has been logged, the quest will push you to your next task.

Where To Find the Security Checkpoint Papers

Head towards the upper levels of Stella Montis, where the Lobby connects to the Security Bridge. Moving onto the bridge, head slightly north before turning east towards a small reception nook with a room behind it.

Inside, you’ll see filing cabinets and scattered documents. These are the papers Tian Wen wants.

(Tip: Avoid walking directly through the metal detector; it may go off and will alert nearby raiders or Arc units, making your escape a bit more complicated.)

Once the papers are secured, the Lobby Metro, if it’s active, is usually the fastest extraction route.

Where To Find Magnetrons

Next is a Magnetron, a new material Tian Wen is eager to examine. You’re most likely to find one in the Assembly Workshop to the north.

The Workshop comprises wide open rooms and high walkways; thus, it is easy to get spotted – move carefully.

Search the following:

  • Tool carts
  • Workbenches
  • Storage cabinets
  • upper-level platforms

It’s not guaranteed that a Magnetron will spawn, but this is the best spot in terms of drop rate. If things get hairy, there is a raider hatch inside the Workshop for a quick exit.

Where to Find Flow Controllers

Finally, you’ll want a Flow Controller, which you’ll find in the Medical Research Labs. The hallways will be tight here, and patrolled by Shredders, but there are enough small rooms to duck into if you need to hide or heal.

Search:

  • Medical carts
  • Bedside stations
  • Supply rooms

Flow Controllers don’t spawn every time, but the odds are usually in your favour. Once you find one, stash it in your safe pocket so you don’t lose it on the way out.
