Black Ops 6 beta is in full swing, and overall, the game feels great, but this game is still in development, and as such, issues are bound to happen. Currently, the game is plagued with all kinds of errors and problems. Users on PS5 have the 0GB download error, and Xbox players are struggling with the Dev Error 10493. Players on PC are the worst affected due to crashes on all three platforms. However, the Black Ops 6 Update Requires Restart issue affects all platforms and is widespread. Here is what you can do about the problem.
How to Get Rid of Fix Black Ops 6 Update Requires Restart Loop
If you have played any CoD in the last few years or since the CoD HQ came into existence, you are familiar with the Update Requires Restart message. In an ideal world, this message pops up when you have updated the game and launched it for the first time. But, currently, players are stuck in a loop of this message.
Word from the Devs
We are currently investigating reports of multiple “Update Requires Restart” prompts experienced by a small subset of players.
How to Exit the Update Requires Restart Loop
I, too, was stuck in this loop after the small patch was released several hours back. At the time, the only way to exit this loop was to close the game completely. When you restart, the BO6 update requires a restart loop to be broken, and you can get into a game.
The error is so widespread that most players currently part of the beta have experienced it at some point. The developers are aware of the issue, and the fix should arrive soon. Until then, close the game completely to break the loop and start playing again.
