Before getting into the customization process, players first need to pet an Ikran. This creature can’t be randomly found anywhere in the world from the beginning. To be precise, these mounts unlock a little later in the game after you complete the 11th main story mission: “Take Flight.” Since it is part of the main quest line, it will be hard to miss the mount.

Customizing Ikran
Customizing pets is the most loved feature in video games and Ubisoft doesn’t deprive players of it. After they get their mount, players can change its name, color, and pattern. Though, the name must be selected from the given options, new colors and patterns can be unlocked as they progress. Also, names can’t be changed randomly. So, be careful while selecting the name.
Feed Ikran
Ikrans have their pre-determined favorite food. These creatures are picky eaters whom you can’t feed any random consumable item. If you want to give it a treat, you must find Nectar and Fatty Meat. These two are the favorite foods of your mount. Fatty Meat is easy to get as you can have it by hunting down predators in the wild. You can harvest the meat to feed your mount or craft other required items. Feeding the Ikrans will instantly fill up their energy meter and they will again use their skills and abilities to accompany you in the battles.
How to Replenish Ikran’s Energy
Ikrans come with an energy meter. The more you fly and use them in the combats, the meter will start going down. So, it is necessary to maintain the energy meter. The easiest way to do that is to fly into a swarm of birds.
Otherwise, you can feed your Ikran its favorite foods- Nectar and Fatty Meat. Even in mid-air, you can open the food menu and select the items to feed it instantly. But if you are stuck in a situation where you have no food to give it, train it to catch fish from water bodies. So, next time, whenever it flies over a waterbody, it will catch fish for itself. Remember, you need to unlock the associated skill in the Memories of the Rider tree to train your mount.
