Unlocking the Ability to Climb in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
After you’ve gotten a little farther through the story, you’ll be able to climb walls. You must reach chapter three to obtain the ability, so don’t worry if you haven’t done it yet. You will assist Colony 4 in Chapter 3 by recruiting Ethel and freeing her colony.
After finishing that section of the game, proceed south to Elsie’s Spout. Valdi will be waiting for you here. You will begin her recruiting mission after beating her in combat. If you complete her quest, she will become a hero. You will also be able to scale walls.
Climbing Walls in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Climbing walls is relatively straightforward after you’ve mastered the ability. Pay attention to your map and look for the symbol that looks like a climbing tool, as seen in the figure below.
You will see purple walls when you reach a place where you may climb. There is no need for you to interact with the walls in any manner. Simply walking into the walls will cause your controlling character to begin climbing.
