While playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3, your characters will learn a variety of classes. As they progress, they will also learn Arts, which they can use while playing another class to perform unique attacks. You can perform Fusion Arts by combining two different Art abilities when you plan and think about what Arts you use alongside a specific class. This guide explains how Fusion Arts function in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
How to Use Fusion Arts in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
In the Character screen, you select which Master Arts your character is familiar with. Go to the Arts tab and the left side of the Arts Selection screen after switching classes. You will have three slots to choose which Master Arts your character will use. Each slot interacts with the Arts tab on the right side of the screen.
On Noah’s Arts screen, for example, his Ground Beat ability from the Swordfighter Class will work alongside the Butterfly Blade for the Zephyr class he is currently using. You can swap these out, such as Ground Beat for another Master Art or Butterfly Blade for another Zephyr Art.
After you’ve made your choice on this screen, you should put it to the test in combat. Your character’s primary Arts will be those from their current class. In our previous example, Noah is a Zephyr, which means that when he uses any of his Arts, he will use the Zephyr abilities. You can, however, use the directional pad to use the Master Arts Noah has access to, which in this case is Ground Beat.
If both Ground Beat and Butterfly Blade are charged, you can activate both by clicking the ZR button and then the Butterfly Blade Art. It uses the charge of both Arts, but allows you to use them both at the same time during combat.
