Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Rated M for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC By ESRB
The release date was announced in October 2022. Recently, the game received an M rating from the ESRB, which means that the game is recommended for players over the age of 17. It will also have in-game purchases.
The ESRB is the Entertainment Software Rating Board which provides information about the content of an application or game, so that users can make an informed decision about whether they wish to use it.
This is what the ESRB has published about the game:
“This is an action game in which players join a large-scale battle against an evil sorcerer in Late Han Dynasty China. From a third-person perspective, players use swords, spears, hammers, magic, and clubs in melee combat against enemies (e.g., soldiers, demons, ghouls). Combat is fast-paced, highlighted by large blood-splatter effects, screams of pain, and explosions. Finishing moves sometimes depict characters dramatically impaled on swords or lances. Several scenes depict multiple corpses and/or large pools/smears of blood.”
As for the in-game purchases, they are speculated to be for cosmetic purposes solely so as not to interfere with the gameplay in a drastic manner.
In the story of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the protagonist is a soldier who will fight against enemies such as monstrous creatures and demons. The game has a theme of dark fantasy, so players can look forward to violent battles with their enemies in the game, with a variety of weapons. It will be playable on the platforms of PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
