Where to Locate Sorcerer Rogier and Complete his Questline in Elden Ring
All the NPCs have special quests for the Tarnished to complete and bring them one step closer to the Elden Throne. Here we will see where to locate Sorcerer Rogier and complete his questline in Elden Ring.
Rogier can be first found while visiting Stormveil Castle. After Rampart Tower, go downstairs and get across the rooftops till you reach a ladder. From here head left to find him. When you talk to him here he will give you three different Ashes of War. After you have defeated Godrick the Grafted, you can find Rogier again, this time at the Roundtable Hold. You can find him on the balcony near where Mad Tongue Alberich will be. Speak to him and he will hand over Rogier’s Rapier +8. You can also buy other Ashes of War off him.

Now, before heading over and starting Ranni’s questline, you have to complete Rogier’s quests first. If you talk to Ranni at this point, Rogier will die and his questline will be obsolete. Mostly continuing with Rogier’s quests will unveil the mysteries behind the Elden Ring, so it is worth sticking around him for that.
You will have to find his bloodstain at Stormveil Castle’s cellar. You can reach the area from the Liftside Chamber Site of Grace. The bloodstain is in the same area where the Prince of Death’s Pustule Talisman is located. You can follow our guide to find the Talisman to get closer to Rogier’s Bloodstain. Right behind the Ulcerated Tree Spirit mini-boss, next to the weird eldritch face melted on the floor, you will find the bloodstain. You will have to beat the mini-boss to progress the quest. Interact with it to find out how he will pass.
Go back to the Roundtable Hold to talk to Rogier and inform him about your findings. He will also tell you that he is looking for a Black Knifeprint. You can get one from slaying the Black Knight Assassin from the Black Knight Catacombs. To find out where the Catacombs are, go to Fia and accept her hug. She will give you clues regarding the location. This option will be available after defeating Rennala the Full Moon Queen at Raya Lucaria Academy. Return to Rogier to hand over the Knife. You can come back to him after some time since he will take a while to examine the Black Knifeprint. He will then explain the lore surrounding Ranni and Godfrey.
You will have to meet with Ranni the Witch at Ranni’s Rise Tower now and ask about her Cursemark. You will have to go back and forth between Ranni and Rogier till Rogier hatches a plan to make you Ranni’s vassal. Once Ranni accepts you, this will start her questline and ends Rogier’s, and if you go back to Rogier, he will tell you how he feels like falling into a deep sleep and will pass away. He will leave behind his Bell Bearings and his armor set, as well as a letter explaining D’s brother’s whereabouts. If you talk to Fia about this, you can start her and D’s questlines as well.
