Where to Locate Preceptor Seluvis and Complete his Questline in Elden Ring
Most NPCs will hand over quests to the Tarnished to find and complete to learn more about the Elden Ring and the Lands Between. Here we will see where to locate Preceptor Seluvis in Elden Ring.
You will be able to meet Seluvis during Ranni the Witch’s questline. You will have to make your way through the Three Sisters area in north Liurnia towards Ranni’s Rise. You need to defeat Royal Knight Loretta to gain access to this area. Once you have made your way to Ranni’s Rise, you can find Seluvis’s spectral form there. Talk to him and he will tell you to meet him at his tower, Seluvis’s Rise. We have an entire guide on where to access his tower.

After reaching his Tower, talk to him and he will tell you that he has a potion that you must hand over to Nepheli Loux. In return, he will open up his shop to you. Accept the potion and head over to the Roundtable Hold to find Nepheli. There are two outcomes to what will happen if you do give her Seluvis’s potion or not, and we have detailed them in this guide.
Whatever choice you had made, head back to Seluvis and he will either tell you that the potion was not effective and open his shop for you, or you will get Nepheli’s Spirit Ash and also be able to buy his wares. You can also alternatively hand over the potion to the Dung Eater when you get the option to feed him Seedbed Curses. This will end the questline for the Dung Eater, but you will get his Spirit Ash instead.
You can also check out the Illusory Wall near the ruins at Ranni’s Rise area to come across his puppet laboratory. If you go back to him and talk to him about it, he will let you choose one puppet out of two, namely the Jarwight Puppet and the Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet. He will also open up his puppet store where you can buy more puppets by exchanging Starlight Shards.
If you are having difficulties finding Nokron, Eternal City during Blaidd the Half-Wolf’s questline, you can talk to Seluvis about it and he will write a letter to Sellen, which will be your clue to finding Nokron. After you have purchased at least 2 puppets from him, he will tell you his desires to transform Ranni into a puppet. He will hand over the Magic Scorpion Charm after helping him find an Amber Starlight that is needed to make a potion that will turn even a Demi-God into a puppet. If you give Ranni the potion, she will look down on you and lock you out of completing her quest. If you kill Seluvis before handing over the potion to her, Ranni and anyone close to her will turn hostile towards you. You can win back her trust by using a Celestial Dew at the Church of Vow.
As you keep progressing through Ranni’s quest, you will find Seluvis dead at his tower, leaving behind his armor set and Bell Bearings. If you wish to access his puppet store, you can interact with his corpse.
