Where to Locate Boc the Seamster and Complete his Questline in Elden Ring
Along your journey, you will meet various NPCs who have interesting quests to share. Here we will see where to find Boc for his quest in Elden Ring.
Boc might be a bit tricky to find initially since he will resemble a tree. From Agheel Lake North, head east till you see a group of trees. We have an entire guide on where to locate him that you can refer to. After freeing him from his tree-like form, he will give you 10 mushrooms as a reward and talk about his predicament. If you enquire further, he will tell you that he will go back to the cave he was once banished from and return with something more precious. The cave is he referring to is the Coastal Cave. Head there to find Boc deeply wounded next to the Site of Grace. You will need to retrieve his sewing needle and tailoring tools from deep within the cave. Once you have retrieved the objects, hand them over to Boc to unlock a new menu. You can now change the way your outfit looks and can use Boc to alter them. This isn’t the last time you will see him. You can find him again in Liurna after defeating Godrick the Grafted. You can find him near the Lake Facing Cliffs Site of Grace. Talk to him to open up some extra dialogs where he talks about his desires to become a seamster and follow his mother’s footsteps to become one.
As you keep progressing, you can find him at Altus Plateau, either near East Raya Lucaria Gate, East Capital Ramparts, or near the Altus Highway Junction. There won’t be anything new, but you can bring up an additional dialog after getting two important items. You will need a Golden Sewing Needle and the armor set of a Demi-God while talking to him. To get the Golden Sewing Needle, you can find it in the Church of Vows, in a chest beside the Fountain of Absolution. By now you would have also defeated Starscourge Radahn. You can find him at Redmane Castle in the Caelid region. While you won’t get his armor set as a drop, you can buy it from Enia the Finger Reader for 12000 Runes. You don’t have to buy the entire set if you cannot, you just need the piece that can be altered.
Hand over the Golden Sewing Needle to get the option to alter legendary armor. Also, this will unlock a fresh set of dialogs. Boc will comment on his ugliness and his desire to be reborn with the help of Rennala. It is over here where you will have to make a choice. You can hand over the Larval Tear that he had asked for so he can go to Rennala at Raya Lucaria Academy and seek her help to be reborn into a human boy. This will also inevitably lead to his death and end his quest. If you wish to let him live, during his dialog when he asked for a Larval Tear, use the “You’re Beautiful” Prattling Pate. Do this after exhausting his dialogs. He will not request another Larval Tear again and will continue to live. You can go to him anytime to get your outfits altered.
