In the latest Halo installment, players will take on the role of the ever-popular Spartan, Master Chief, as they will be tasked with dispatching The Banished, a sort of faction of the Covenant. The game’s take on the open-world concept and linear level design has made eager fans anticipate the latest title with much fanfare.
IWHBYD Skull Location in Halo Infinite
Halo Infinite is riddled with collectibles that players can find throughout the game. If you are a collectible junkie, then you would have to scour the area to find all the hidden items. Some might be visible in plain sight too and players can miss them if they are not careful.
One of the items that players can collect is called Skulls. Skulls add a whole new dimension to the game and act as unique modifiers. You do not have to be worried about missing out on finding them, as Skulls are found much later in the game. The earliest Skull that you can acquire is the IWHBYD (I Would Have Been Your Daddy) Skull, which can be obtained if you take up The Tower Mission.
In this guide, you will be taken through a quick rundown on how to acquire the IWHBYD Skull.
The fourth mission in the game, titled The Tower, gives players the task of infiltrating the said tower and obtaining a distress beacon. Players will be pushed to the center of the tower and you would have to face against large groups of Banished before you can use the gravity lift to ascend to the inside. Once you have completed the mission, you will be able to use The Tower as a fast travel location.
There are a few things to keep in mind before attempting to get the Skull. You will need to upgrade your Grapple shot a second time, which will help in reducing the cooldown to 40%. You will need this upgrade to scale the tower. If you have enough Spartan cores, you can easily upgrade the grapple shot. If not, you can come back later since you have already unlocked the fast travel location. Secondly, it would be better if you can come back and get the Skull at a later stage. It is quite painstaking since it is located at the top of the Tower and will take some time to reach. Furthermore, if you haven’t fought off all the Banished near the tower, they will come after you and try to shoot you down.
After you have the upgraded grapple shot, return to the tower and start scaling it from the outside. It might take a bit of time and concentration, but it is doable. You will have to aim upward at an angle and would have to do this continuously. The cool-down effect will also give you a boost to move up faster and reach the top of the Tower quicker. Continue doing this till you reach the top. You will know if you have reached if you see the Craig Easter Egg and the band equipment. Jump onto the platform and you will come across the IWHBYD Skull.
Another easier way to reach the top of The Tower without painstakingly trying to climb it is to get a Wasp, which will be available in the late game.
