The Occultist is a one-of-a-kind NPC that Diablo 4 players met during the early access test phases. The character will almost certainly appear during the normal test weekend (March 24-27) and subsequently when the complete game is released. (June 6). Although there isn’t much information about how to acquire this NPC or where they appear, here’s everything you need to know about the Occultist in Diablo 4.
Where to find Occultist in Diablo 4
The Occultist in Diablo 4 can currently be located inside a hut in the northeastern portion of Kyovashad. As of now, it’s unknown whether this is the only spot where the NPC spawns or if it’s a different position in each community. Furthermore, it is still unknown how to access the character. To access the Occultist and their services, players are expected to either reach level 25 or finish their first adventure and obtain a Codex of Power.
Players are also expected to have to access other NPCs such as the Blacksmith and Alchemist before they can do the same with the Occultist. As a result, players may acquire these two NPCs and then grind their way to level 25 before verifying to see if they’ve earned the character in Diablo 4.
What Rewards does the Occultist offer in Diablo 4
The Occultist can be used to obtain Legendary Aspects from equipment. Although this comes at a high expense, it is well worth it. The extracted Aspect is saved in the player’s inventory, where they can examine their attributes and the weapons that can be used with it. The Occultist, like Aspect extraction, can reapply or “imprint” these removed Aspects on another item of armour. Imprinting a gear improves its stats, but once stamped, Aspects cannot be removed.
In Diablo 4, the Occultist can also create Sigils. When these Sigils are eaten, they raise the challenge of a dungeon. The greater the level challenge, as with all high-tier material in RPG titles, the better the benefits. So players looking for better treasure can create a Sigil at this NPC and then ingest it before entering a cave in quest of better loot.
The Occultist can also alter players’ equipment. Players can use this tool to reroll affixes or preset stat boosts on an item of gear. Furthermore, they can choose to reroll a specific affix on items of armour in the hopes of getting improved stats. For the time being, the Occultist in Diablo 4 only provides these services. It’s uncertain whether the makers will add more services to this NPC once the complete game is released. However, for the time being, players can use these services to make their avatars deadly.
