To farm Machalite Ore, you will need to strike blue mining outcrops. You can find them in the Sandy Plains, Flooded Forest, and the Lava Caverns. If you are playing in the early game, then Sandy Plains is the place to go, as you do not require any High-Rank Quests for this. It might take a few hours’ worths of gameplay to unlock Sandy Plains, but once it is available, visit Hinoa in the Village, pick on the Village Quest, then select Expedition Tour. You can now explore the biome without any constraints or penalties.
Blue deposits are the easiest to farm from, and you can get more money from blue deposits. If you check around section 6, you can see three blue veins and a white vein that you can start from. As you progress through the game, you will have more luck in the Lava Caverns than the Sandy Plains.
As an alternate, completing quests or requests can also help you earn some Machalite Ore, but it is time-consuming and getting the ore itself is few and far between.
