There are two schools of magic in Elden Ring—namely Sorceries and Incantations. They are both vital to gameplay, but Sorceries are directed towards dealing damage to your enemies, and you will have many opportunities to use them effectively in combat. This guide will take you through the process of how to get Adula’s Moonblade sorcery in Elden Ring.
How to Get Adula’s Moonblade Sorcery in Elden Ring
Adula’s Moonblade Sorcery falls in the realm of cold magic, which is an extremely powerful form of magic that affects your opponents with Frostbite. Along with dealing damage to their health, the frostbite status effect will cause your enemy’s health to drop over time.

You can use Adula’s Moonblade Sorcery once you have obtained it, which will allow you to invoke a greatsword similar to the Dark Moon Greatsword, which can deliver a sweeping hit to your enemies and take them down. To get this Sorcery, you will need to have completed Ranni’s questline, which you can start in the Three Sisters area past Caria Manor in northern Liurnia.
Ranni’s quest is a rather long one, so make sure to check out our guide on How to Reach Ranni’s Rise in Elden Ring if you’re struggling with it. Once you have completed the quest, you will have unlocked a new area which will enable you to collect Adula’s Moonblade Sorcery.
Take the elevator that leads up to the mountaintop in southwest Liurnia, where you will come across the Cathedral of Manus Celes. Glintstone Dragon Adula will appear in the front of the cathedral and you will need to take them down in an epic boss fight. Once you have killed them, you will be able to collect your reward, which is Adula’s Moonblade sorcery.
